Im a huge Leeds and Kewell fan, but all the rumours Ive seen, seem to be saying he is on his way out. With only 14months left on his contract, if he doesnt resign soon, then Leeds will have to sell him so htat he cant go on Bosman.

The rumour Ive heard is that he is on his way to Real, but id like to think otherwise. He would suit spanish football, no doubt, because he is a flairy player-and he has always said he wants to play in more then just England during his career, but Real are so big he could easily become a nobody.

However, Im not too sure about who is starting for Real at LW at the moment, but if you put him out there, with Raul and Ronaldo ahread of him and Roberto Carlos behid him, it would be a pretty strong team!

Cheers

Nah, Kewell has always said he only wants to play for Leeds in england (ie. no other english club), and he also wants to experience footy elsewhere..

Im sure a big Spanish or Italian club will find some money for a player as good as him ;)

just a guess! inter may be his next destination
if inter can't buy giggsy in the summer, they may set their target on harry, and it's also good to see him playing there!

Great to see kewell finally move out of that rut EPL, lets see what he can do in a better calibre club, cause even he knows it, he will become better against better plays in spain and italy.

Well if madrid does buy him, im sure more people will realise that "real" is referred as "real sociedad", while "real madrid" is known as "el madrid"

And even then im not sure where kewell will play at madrid. I wouldnt expect harry to start over zidane, or play left mid, as madrid dont really have one(RC is allowed to roam up and down that left flank at will)

I expect more aussies will tune in to serie A, as i bet he goes to INTER MILAN.

he should go to Real and Leeds should sell him off for a riducilous amount of money...

I rekon either Real Madrid or Inter Milan as playing in either league for any of those successful clubs would bring another dimension to his game.:)

Leeds have money?

HAHAHAHAHAHA

i think what K-Man means is that Kewell has always said he only wants to play for Leeds in england, but if given a great amount of money to him, maybe 100,000 pounds a week, then he may play for another english club!

Interesting ...

I'd prefer to see him leave Leeds, but I'm not sure if they will sell him. The thing that many people here might not fully appreciate is that he is not only a brilliantly gifted footballer, but an entry into the Australian soccer market. I know heaps of people who follow Leeds in the EPL simply because "Harry plays there". All my little brother's friends (he's in year 11) know who he is, and most of them don't and have never played soccer before.

Getting Kewell virtually guarantees an instant huge fanbase of soccer followers in Australia. All this equates into a lot of money.

Would be good if he ends up in Madrid.. ;)

Nah, his contract has 14months. However leeds want him to resign before the end of the year (calendar year), because you can began discussing terms with other clubs for a bosman transfer in your last 6months of your current contract I think.

Also, the closer it gets to the end of his contract, obviously the less he is worth, so Leeds need to resign him straight away or sell him straight away. The same problem cost them a heap of money with Bowyer.

Well lets put it into perspective

1) If he goes to serie A(Italy) Our fan base gets stronger, as more Serie A will be shown in australia, and more people will tune into Soccer here in australia(oops i meant football). He will need to be more tactically astitue(like grella said, italians are born with great tactical minds) but once he setltles, he will show how good he is. He is technically gifted player, who at times has poor work rate, which could push him out of action if he becomes complacent.

2) If he goes to spain, we will see more La Liga. He will become a better player, but dont look for him to join the merengues outfit, unless hes willing to share a left wing with Roberto Carlos  I think a team like Barca will do him good, or even up and comers, BETIS, who have one of the best wing pairings in the world in Denilson and Joaquin, who are light upfront where goals should be coming from.

3) Stays in England, where he will not get any better. His team mates are going left right and center, and lets face it, he cant do it on his own, therefore he could end up becoming unmotivated and washed up. Hes a great player heading into his prime, why not do it with a big time money move to the heavyweights of europe? *cough INTER cough*
