Kalou sold to investment company; headed for Benfica?

You guys actually believe Feyenoord would sell their two best players, with the pressure from the fan base going on right now? The board would be lynched if they did.

I think I speak for every Benfica fan when I say "I'll beleive it when they're wearing Benfica kits" :mad: There's just too much BS surrounding any player remotely linked with Benfica....this sounds like more of the same.

This keeps making less and less sense for the following reasons.

1) Why sell Kalou for only 9 million to an investment company when PSV has bid 8 million + a percentage of the next transfersum. Considering that PSV has already placed 3 bids already and that they haven't even negotiated yet, Feyenoord could milk far, far more from PSV.

2) Kalou wants his Dutch citzenship and therefore wants to stay in Holland. Why agree to go to Benfica? Again, it makes no sense.

On a side note, never trust Koeman with transfers.

Feyenoord are open to selling both players but only if it's for the right price. I don't think they'll let Kalou go for 8 million though, nor do I expect them to sell Kalou to a PSV-side that's actually (and finally) beatable by Feyenoord this year.

It is now revealed that the singture is real, and Feyenoord were trying to keep the deal secret until they could sign Koné from Roda has a replacement or the deal would not go through which would of been finalized yesterday. Now that Algemeen Dagblad reported the negotiations too early Feyenoord got scared they wouldn't find a replacement with the news.

And for Feyennoord saying the players aren't leaving, then why did they having another meeting yesterday afternoon with Soccer Investments and Representations (SIR)???

I just checked AD.nl and the only Feyenoord-related news is that Ono will be back by the end of August. There's also an article on Johan Elmander. Apparently, he's actually a half-decent player back in Demark. Who would've thought.

AD just retracted the whole damn story regarding the signed document and admitted that they handled the story the wrong way.
