I'm not an exception. You see, Brazil is a huge country, but Europe is also big and has a wide variety of cultures. Just because some newspaper wrote that bs it doesn't mean that everybody thinks like that.
Although everybody (including the Brazilians here) thought that Brazil's defence was crap before the wc, we've changed our minds. The merit goes to Scolari and his tactics, though.

Btw, I don't know if you noticed, but 3 of the 4 semi-finalists used mainly a defence with 3 CBs.

Now to those who are saying that Rustu is better bcs Kahn made that mistake, let me remind you that Ronaldo's goal in the sf is a huge Rustu's mistake. An average keeper would get that ball anyday. Still, they're both good gks. My point is that you can't judge a keeper just for one game (or one mistake).

Infesta,Ronaldo's goal in sf wasn't Rustu's mistake,it was the defence mistake,ronaldo passed from 4 players & shoot the ball & he was near 2 Rustu,Although Rustu tried 2 save it & it hited the post & gets in the net....

Kahn was good,he saved alot but notice something that the german defence is much better than the turkish defence as we didn't c ronaldo pass from 4 players like what he did in the goal in the sf...

Rustu saved alot bith less quality defence,he deserves 2 b the best GK..

Firstly..Ronaldo's goal wasnt Rustu's mistake..I aggree with you..It was Alpay's mistake..

Germany's defence is far better than Turkey's..1 goals in 6 matches wahooooo..But Turkey? 4 goals in 6 matches..

And Kahn made a big mistake in a big match...This means Kahn isnt a big keeper

I dont say Rüstü is the best keeper of world..He was better than Kahn in WC..

Kahn is better. He had a big mistake in the final, but in the games before he was perfect. Rustu is a good GK but not worldclass I think. He has not show his quality in the Champions League like Kahn.

Ok, but Rustu gave up the rebound, if Kahn didn't tear the ligaments in his hand there is no way that Ronaldo would have gotten a chance at it.

He never failed? I would like to point out that Brazil conceded 2 goals to COSTA RICA. Nothing against the Tikos, but Paolo Wanchope, the best player by far on that team, is nothing special at all.

Conceded? Those 2 goals were impossible to defend. The thing is that if the striker hits the ball well there is nothing a keeper can do. Marcos maid some great saves and didnt mess up on easy saves like kahn. I think Kahn is a better keeper, he had a much harder time, Germany got that far because of him. But in this WC Marcos was better overall, not that he is a better keeper he just had a better WC than Kahn considering the final game

How can you pick Rustu when you're only evaluating him on one match.....

Try to compare the keepers in the long run. Last year, Rustu was basically unknown, Kahn was known all around. Rustu is not on Kahn's level yet. A better comparison would be Marcos vs. Rustu.

My pick? Marcos.... had an error free WC....

Easy saves?! You try saving a 70 mph Rivaldo rocket with torn ligaments in your hand. Not gonna happen. And the second one is filed in your category of "If the striker hit the ball well there is nothing a keeper can do." That's bull****, Kahn made tons of impossible saves in the World Cup. Landon Donovan had a brilliant shot saved to name one.

Thats bull? So your saying that any shot to the goal can be saved by a keeper? yeah your so smart

There isnt such a thing as an impossible save (if the guy did save it was saveable ) , plus if the ball is kicked near the box
and goes right in the lower or upper corner the keeper cant reach no matter how good he is, same with penalties if the penalty kicker strikes hard and right in the lower/upper corner the keeper will never save.

And about Rivaldos kick, that was a easy save the problem is that the keeper shouldnt have tried to grab it he should have deflected. That ball was going down and had to much spin to grab it.

Did anyone see Marco´s saves against Belgium? They were as impressive as the 2 saves pulled against Germany

Kahn saved only twice? well Rustu saved 100 times. I guess you havn't watched the World Cup.
