I understand that it's not in your best interest that Inter somehow get out of being robbed on this deal, but IMO it's a good thing when a club listens to its fans (especially to prevent them from committing a blunder) ... you don't think so? or is the issue that they'd be listening to not mere fans, but ultras?Juventino;3614898 said:Yes, they better run the final ''O.K.'' of their transfer transactions by their Ultras first, haha. What a situation that must've been this afternoon.
haha, I know, I know ... but it's good to see their fans revolt early enough to potentially stop it going through ...Arnau;3614934 said:Xifio, this move is typical Inter. They only had 2 years of common sense (under Mourinho) in all their history.
It just makes the directors of this pro organization seem incredibly incapable of doing their job right, especially at this stage of the deal. Vucinic had already cleaned out his locker and they seemingly had every intention of making this deal happen with Juve until the news reaches them the fans disagree. I later read their Ultras somehow made a statement, good for them though. I think it's amusing. I don't think it's a very important deal for Juve, but I'd be pleased and it looks like it will go through after all. Marotta seemed positive.Xifio;3614928 said:I understand that it's not in your best interest that Inter somehow get out of being robbed on this deal, but IMO it's a good thing when a club listens to its fans (especially to prevent them from committing a blunder) ... you don't think so? or is the issue that they'd be listening to not mere fans, but ultras?
exactly! swapping a sub for more midfield depth isn't that big a deal for you guys; but Inter swapping their best player for a 30 year old forward who isn't a prolific goalscorer is a BIG problem ... it shows Inter fans that Branca & Co. have no intention of not being completely inept even under new management; and by reacting so vociferously to potentially stop the deal from happening, they have made that ineptitude clear to the ownership ... from an objective standpoint, it's good to see fans making an impact on their club's actions ...Juventino;3614947 said:It just makes the directors of this pro organization seem incredibly incapable of doing their job right, especially at this stage of the deal. we haven't had a Question of the Week thread in a little while ...Juventino;3614959 said:I wonder where the limit of the fans' influence is though. It doesn't fit a huge professional organization and business like Inter, they hire executives to make the right decisions (in their judgement) within a certain policy. I understand it's a part of a director's responsiblity to field a team that the fans can love and support, but you can't run the business/transfer policy by them. That would be a very strange and unmanagable situation I think.
