Fifa all the way
PES series are good but you dont have real kits names etc and never will have
nice game of football
Ah yes, that crucial facet of all gaming - how well the kits mark up. Not to mention, the licensing issues. If only people could actually see past that incorporeity when actually trying to analyse a game of football on a computer.
but FIFA 07 is also a nice game of football less fannying around
Would this be the Lawrie Sanchez style of football?
with better tricks better gameplay and better goals real names kits stadiums
I think you mentioned that already. Maybe if you mention it again, it would destroy your own arguement even further. I can hear the barrells scraping in the distance.
Anyways, EA has got zero chance of getting any J-League licenses in that game - Konami has seemingly secured a nice little earner with the JFA.
We all know that the world wants to play the mighty Vissel on Fifa.
PES will soon be falling behind and stay falling behind
Hmmm. I dunno. Konami have a very solid reputation for producing high-standard games that don't often reflect the attitudes and standards most want in the west. What a consumer craves in Osaka, isn't the same in Oslo sadly. Things like Contra, DDR, Suikoden and to a lesser extent WE often get you drawn into playing the game to an obscene level without so much as questioning the aesthetic detail.
The problem Konami has always had, is trying to take itself more seriously in Europe and get more games produced to a European crowd. Most of the recent press surrounding the new WE games, were actually quite favourable in terms of the game's release as PES in Europe and its subsequent changes to the European market.
EA Sports really have messed about with a winning forumla with the Madden series, by adding stupid little niches and deft gimmicks that overly-complicated the game and drifted away from the roots that it once had.
The NBA and NHL series are currently also under-fire from 2k sports who have produced far greater games in the past year or so. I won't even go into baseball, because erm - they rather surprisingly don't have the license to that - 2k do.
Certainly I'm more optimistic of Konami keeping more faithful to their roots and to the actual game, rather than chase licenses that only add a small factor to the joy of the game.
We heart football - was the mantra repeated to death when I first picked up a copy of WE back on the PSone.
in the end FIFA will have all the copyright and go on having everything just like pro evo but everything pro evo doesnt have as well
Oh there you go. Thought you went soft on me there.
I'm sure the only copyright Takatsuka-san is bothered about - is the one he'll take to his grave. How to make a decent football game.
The war has now ended
I think Sun Tzu once said that those skilled in war will subdue the enemy's army without battle, because they conquer by strategy of their own strengths and of their own weaknesses.
In that sense, that battle has ended before its even begun.
