veron got another yellow card which means he has to miss the next champ league match against juve!!!

very bad news for united as veron is good this season, especially in the champs league.
good thing is that beckham is coming back again!!

so! if, put both of them into central midfield, which one is better?

i think veron is way past beckham!

I also think Veron is better than Beckham. But theres still room for both of them in the Man. U. midfield... Is it just me, or are there other people that don't think Giggs is that good... Hes obviously a skilled player but, hes one of the most overrated players IMO.

yeah, no doubt Becks is overated, but not much. he's just SLIGHTLY overated.

considering the amount and quality of the goals he scores, the number of assists he does, and many other contributions to his teams, he's still a great player who's better than many other players.

Sven dont let Becks captain England because he's gay.

Solskjaer replaced Beckham VERY WELL ! :) He can pass very well, play as a striker, play as Right midfielder and he can score ! (i'm talking 'bout Solskjaer) :)

Very hard to compare actually, cause Beckham doesnt play that often in that central midfield position.

But I doubt we would be seeing Beckham playing there as United have loads of ppl who can play in that central midfield position.

Are you guys talking Beckham out of the ManUtd team? Are you dumb and stupid? Beckham isn't aiming for the dame position as Veron, they've already got Veron, Keane, Butt, Scholes and P. Neville for that role. Beckham is out right. A position Solskjaer is taking over at the moment, and he does it well, but Beckham is better at it. You guys seem to forget Beckham's influence, his passing range his vision. With Beckham on the ball every defence must watch out for a splitting pass to Van Nistelrooij.

Giggs has been off form for the last month but yesterday we saw him return. He is, without a doubt, one of the, if not the, best left winger in the World. Most managers have said this.

I think that both Beckham and Veron are fabulous players when playing at their peak. Recently Beckham's been better than Veron though. I also think that Beckham gets slated by many people because they hear too much of him in the press, which distorts their view of his ability, but that's not Beckham's fault. Granted he's not a Figo or Ronaldo with his dribbling skills but he's probably got the best long-range passing ability in the game and his free-kicks are among the best too.

Beckham and Veron are both terrific passers of the ball and have great vision, but Beckham belong to the ring midfield slot. His crosses are breathtaking and extremely dangerous, and at his best, he's better than anyone. Veron, at his best, remains one of the best midfielders (central) in the business but the problem is that he's very inconsistent. He is showing some consistency in the past games and so hopefully he'll continue in that vein.

Veron is suspended for the home match against Juventus, I expect Roy Keane to partner Paul Scholes in midfield, with Ruud and Ole up front. Alternatively, Scholes can be pushed forward to support Ruud and Nicky Butt will come in.

of course not mhflierman!! i am a big beckham fans, u can see that from my signature!

i am not saying beckham should be out from the first team, but recently solskjaer really performs very well in the right side of the midfield!

Yep.. totally agree, he delivered over 20 crosses in one match, cant remember against who.
Solskjaer said that hes not as good as giggsy in dribbling but he will produce a good performance in the right midfield.
I think an attacking midfielder position suits him...

yeah he's very versatile!! b4, i thought he was a great goal scorer and always appear in the right time

now i think he's more suitable for a free role in the attacking position

Becks is not one bit overrated.....It is just the player he is.....Its his job and instinct to set up others and drill the free kicks...and not beat 3 people with his feet.......Just like Magic Johnson the greatest point guard in the NBA ever....He is not a scorer but just to set up others.......It is still a skill that only a few can master it..

Mna Utd fans seem to never know the talent they have.
I wrote here for months that Keane is the problem that caused Verons poor playing.
Keane is simply too domnant to allow any other central midfielder to play their normal game.

It's a joke though to say Beckham is over-rated, he and Keane are the only Man Utd players who can start on every Premiership team.

And yes Giggs is over-rated.............way over-rated.
