**Juventus stars Paolo Montero, Mark Iuliano, Igor Tudor and Athirson have been implicated in the Turin prostitution racket smashed by police at the weekend.
"We became well known in football circles," said Loredana Berno, who ran the brothel with four accomplices and is engaged to Uruguayan defender Montero.
She also named Alessio Scarchilli and Simone Vergassola of Torino and Andrea Magallanes of Venezia as clients of Viva Lain, which masqueraded as a beauty centre.
"We flew girls as far afield as Naples," added Berno to Italian weekly magazine Panorama.
Two former players were also allegedly among Viva Lain's customers: defender Roberto Cravero, who played for Torino and Lazio, and midfielder Massimo Mauro, once of Juventus.
Mauro was also president of Genoa between 1998 and 1999 and a member of the Italian parliament until 2001, representing the Social Democrats.
Earlier, an unnamed Torino star admitted his involvement in the scandal. "It's true, I paid £500 to have sex with a girl," said the first-team regular.
The player was first implicated when one of the centre's 'masseuses', known only as Emanuela P, complained to police on April 10 that she had not been paid by him.
"I didn't go to Viva Lain," the Torino star went on. "I met Emanuela through a friend."
That friend is 31-year-old Berno, who was arrested at the weekend. She has already told the public prosecutor that the Torino player asked for introductions to other girls.
Berno also claims she arranged orgies at the homes of a number of footballers in northern Italy. "Some players paid with hashish or cocaine," she added.**
