When you aren't using off the ball control, your strikers will hardly ever score... at least my strikers arent... mostly the midfielders score... i play on world class... and score a lot with long distance shots...

When I praticed off the ball a lot...
this is how i do it...
when you press the Z button there will be 3 of you forward man selected... and those are the strikers you have to be fast to move 'm so remember wich one is wich number iwth the key board :) so when 2 is ronaldo youll notice when you see him press Z directly twice... cause you know you get him then.. and then move him into space... when you remember what number hes or your striker is on you can use off the ball much better... :)
well when i used it i noticed that my strikers score more... what is much more realistic...

I played a season without using off the ball... and only my midfielders scored... one of my stirkers didn't have 1 singel. goal... thats not good... so with off the ball its more fun but its harder...

no you don't need off the ball for worldclass
i play better on world class without off the ball :)
but i'm learning off the ball... and it lets you make greater attacks... than just a long distance shot...

For PS2 its better to use the L1 button to set the players off on runs....forget about using off the ball....especially if playing againts a good human opponent. If they pressure the ball you are dead since your player slows down when u bring up the off the ball controls

also the 4 3 1 2 works pretty good too.......pretty much the same just ur 3 mid are lined up and one isnt stepping back a bit.personally though the 4 1 2 1 2 is the best formation ever....my friends can never get by me cuz they try to run the middle and cant get past the diamond.

this is pissing me off, I was amazing in fifa 2003, and I can barely beat professional in 2004 1 out of 3 times. I only had the game for 3 days tho.

I played a lot of demo and what I found is that off the ball control is very useful in.... DEFENSE.

When u'r in that sticky situation with the ball 2 mm in front of the goal line what I do is just tap z and a and it goes away to my forward. then head to CM and go from there. Helps a lot since it takes longer to hold down a for a lob. And it's more accurate, too...

Also works well if u use shift to put ur striker into the middle of the penalty box, then wait for defender to catch up and then lob it to him for a header.

The best are still corner kicks. Using player 2 on driven is so friggin easy to score. Especially if u are playing with a good club, it's like a 95% scoring chance. Now I'm playing as Marseille and my guys hit the ball over the net a lot... it sucks

I like the fact that the game is not as simple as FIFA 2003.

About the corners, I find it easiest to score with the person in the middle when you select to play it in the center. All you have to do is get in front of the defender and push him around a bit, and you're going to get the header off.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Sometimes, if it's an away game, and the team that you're playing is doing poorly, only your supporters will pack the stands.
