Well, I've had every FIFA game for the PC, then switched to the XBOX for FIFA 2005. Then last week I bought WE8I for the XBOX and holy crap is this the best game ever made!!!! FIFA has always been about looking good and playing so-so. WE8I doesn't look outstanding (still good though) but the gameplay is unreal!!! Hell even a ton of the face renders look better than FIFA. The only thing I've noticed is some of the pitches look real bad on my tv (47inch WideScreen). In the long run this might drive me nuts but who cares since this game is like playing the real thing. In FIFA 2005 I was always scoring the exact same goals but so far in WE8 the computer and I have combined for say 50 goals and I can't think of any that looked exactly the same. I'm just glad Winning Eleven is on XBOX now since there will be no need to deal with EA's lame gameplay ever again!!!!! If you don't have WE8 and you have an XBOX your missing out my friend.

I wouldnt say that exactly. The SEGA sports American football games always came out on top of madden, in reviews and all. It seemed that Madden was the one doomed to extinction. Now a few years later, look which one is the doomed game. You never know what lengths EA would go to be the only sports game maker out there. :kader: Makes us all sick how they run their company, but hey, thats the corporate world for ya.

Yeah, sure ... You keep thinking that... ;)
What i will say... Is that i had a little play on UCL in a store about an hour ago.
And apart from those stupid black bars, the gameplay is F*****g Awesome .... Much slicker than Fifa05, imo.
The set pieces are miles better too.

A quick update on my bad pitch issue on my tv with WE8I. I turned off all HD resolutions on the XBOX and the pitch looks a ton better and the image actually fits fully on my screen now. Before it wasn't all fitting some was getting cut off. Just a tip to anyone using the HD converter for the XBOX and has had this problem. So I guess this game doesn't even support 480 then?

i didn't mean that guys, ofcourse it's not gonna extinct.. that was just my Pes-fan comment :p.

Ea got the money, they'll never die. I just said it cause I can see more and more people switching from fifa to pes this year and I think there will only be more. If this development keeps to continue Pes will be leading the footymarket at Pes 5

i dunno man. i tried UCL on PC and although it's a big improvement on Fifa 05, it's still kinda weird. They fixed the weird gaps between midfielders and forwards, but the backs now play strangely. they play like hockey defensmen. they just back up, and let you waltz in, then for some reason every pass you make goes right to a back. it's like once you get in the attacking zone, the code for passing is different. You can still only score when the program says it's ok to as well... which really annoys me.

I will say that the CL commentary is awesome!

Call me crazy, but i still think PES/WE graphics and animations are 10x better. It's just sound that EA is really good at.

:boohoo: I don't think so, i mean EA has the money, Konami may have a better game but EA have the licenses, the money and the approval of all those leagues that are included in the game. And if you haven't noticed it the name of the game is FIFA, so i don't think the game will dissapear, on the contrary it will improve and return where it has to be, on the top of the sports games

I recalled my previous post some posts above already.. it was a stupid comment. They won't extinct but Pes are catching up with fifa in terms of sales and popularity

It was fun for a while but the game play got boring and repetitive. And there playing around with the options especially 2 - player tournaments was just annoying. PES lets you have the kind of tournaments you want with more than just one team

FIFA is an exellent game but has a short life. Its easy to score every possible different goal in about 4 weeks. i have tried pes4 for a week and scored all different goals that i have never done on fifa. However, iv taken my xbox version back and will soon buy the pc one for patches.
