Then Sweden should have more support than any team cuse we dont have a clue on defending, on the contrary to the steriotype. THe defending on our part have been chaotic tactically and amateurish in every possible way. We migth not always play good football but we will most of the time promes a good game, cuse we give our opponents all the time and space in the world.

It is why I love seeing African nations progress in the World Cup, they play very good attacking football, even if the scoreline comes out to 1-0. African countries always make for an interesting watch, so does Brazil, (minus Argentina who've been driven into the ground by their coach). Portugal also plays good football.

At least we are finally seeing punishments dished out, Italy, Spain, England and Germany are at home, playing golf, because they decided to defend slender leads with 10 men.

At first when I saw the Spain vs Russia game, I saw that Spain had only 3 defenders, and though "this is gonna be good, seeing some attacking football". But after the game finished on that 1-0 scoreline, with the Spanish team looking wary and cautios throughout the game, I changed my mind, yes they did play some uninspiring football. And Spain should get the worst brunt, because they have world class squad, Joaquin and Vincente are magnificent players, but maybe its just coaching.

The fact is we need defensive soccer like we need attacking soccer. You complain about how defensive soccer is too boring but if all games were played with an attacking style of soccer it would ruin the game. You would have 13-9 scores. That would devalue scoring a goal. If all teams played in an attacking manner games would be become boring because the thrill of the goal would be gone. Defense is just as important as offense. If you don't like the way a team plays don't watch them.

Speaking as a Brazil fan, whenever I recall the Brazil-Italy 2-3 in WC 1982, I say yes to good defence(and good keepers).
