It's official: The Special One goes to Inter

Apparently Moratti has told Mourinho that he doesn't expect major changes to the squad. And so it begins.

Mind you they can't be that bad as it is they are Italian champions!

Filipower

Actually it was Mourinho that said he would only need two or three players.

"Ao ver a imprensa destes últimos dias, tenho a impressão de que vou treinar uma equipa de 60 jogadores. Li que desejo comprar todos os jogadores da Europa, mas isso não é verdade"
basically he says he only needs two or three players..

also, Moratti apparently gave him a transfer budget of €140...

he does have a negative side.
Like most geniuses, he is somewhat fu<ked up in his head. He is immature and can behave like a spoilt child if he does not get this own way, and when he does not get his own way, he throws his toys out of the pram and sulks BIG TIME.

that's true...I wouldn't say "BIG TIME", but he does tend to, well, care only about himself when things go wrong...

and I agree with pede, please people, don't be putting Mourinho next to the Gods just yet...as amazing as his career is, his Main Manager career has just begun...

at least wait until he wins the WC with Portugal (H)

Actually thats a good point Fili. In real terms, Jose is still finding his way in club management. His record on the surface does look very accomplished for sure, and after his winning ways at Porto, he came to Chelsea and continued to win a lot with us.

It's understandable that he made mistakes along the way, because he is not perfect after all, but the longer he keeps at it, the more he will learn. One thing a smart person does is learn from mistakes, and Jose is smart enough to do that. That's why we will not perhaps see the same Jose at Inter as we saw at Chelsea. The circumstances are different this time round, and Jose is now that much more experienced.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a much calmer, media friendly Jose at Inter, and if he wants to keep his job this time, he also needs to know his place in the club, and to at least try to appreciate that a club is always bigger than it's coach.

Filipower

Absolutely, he already wasn't the same person moving from Leiria to Porto, and definitely not the same when moving from Porto to Chelsea.

Baldwin Bazuaye. No need to get so personal mate, even if you are an idiot.

First of all my friend, you read too many sh1te newspapers. I can tell by your media inspired opinions.

Second...I am not a Jose groupie like you and some others on here. I know what Jose did at Chelsea, and I appreciate the positive things. I also am aware of his negative side and believe me, he does have a negative side.

As Fili pointed out, wherever he goes he experiences "personal problems", and ends up at loggerheads with the boardroom. That is not a coincidence. Like most geniuses, he is somewhat fu<ked up in his head. He is immature and can behave like a spoilt child if he does not get this own way, and when he does not get his own way, he throws his toys out of the pram and sulks BIG TIME.

Sorry to point these things out about your hero and the focus of your wet dreams, but that is the way he is.

Lets see how long he remains on good terms with Morratti shall we?

I began reading your comment, then I saw the personal insult. there I stopped. Sadly, we cannot continue our argument because am not in the habits of discussing with Idiots!

First off, a joke and a liar are not insults. they are personality traits. some one may act as a joke, or tell lies. That said, i was not upset at all that you insulted me. far from it... LOL. I just wanted to draw attention to the fact that you lack home training and manners. one would expect that your parents would have had done a better bringing you up. however, they failed in their duties.

by the way, feel free to take my bet. jose will win the champions league before your 500 million + No trophy team. LOL!!!!!!!!

Hey Pede, but again your lack of knowledge about Mourinho shows like Fili pointed out. Mourinho's personal problems with Benfica was that benfica would not remove the "interim" label from job by offering him a contract. Benfica has just gone through elections and he left knowing that the new president had a manager in mind during his preseidential campaign that wasnt him. The prez stated it many times. When he arrived Mourinho left. Far from not getting along with the board, just a new club president not wanting an unknown interim manager to take over.

He had no personal prblems with Leiria and with porto he had no prob with the board, but with fans who had threatened his children's lives for hinting at a posiible exit after the Champs league finals.

Far from personal problems.

I dont mean to be a prick, just correcting some misconceptions you have. Mourinho was winning two peices of silverware a year, a couple CL semi final appearances. You cannot say he had bad seasons. He WON SILVERWARE EVERY YEAR. It just seems your being ungrateful. id have expected this from those bandagon Chelsea fans, but not from somebody who says they have cheered for Chelsea amidst decades of ****. You'd think you would appreciate what he has done for your club.

Again everybody knows Mourinho is arrogant and sometimes plain childish and idiotic (no denying that) but he does that on purpose to take the pressure from media off his players and onto him.

For some reason players love playing for him

cheers

Baldwin....you are well on your way to making quite a name for yourself pal. Not a good name but a name non the less. You are a moron with a big mouth who needs to learn some respect for your elders. maybe that's something that mummy and daddy didn't teach you huh? Still, I guess you are about 12 so you have plenty of time to learn.

By the way, which team is it that you gloryhunt at the moment?

Paulo, I don't claim to be an expert on Mourinho mate. What he did before Chelsea and after Chelsea do not interest me that much, so excuse me if I dont kiss his arse.

I have already said plenty of times that I appreciate all the positive things he did at Chelsea. If you would have read my post you would of at least have seen that.

Did Jose do all these great things for Chelsea for free? No, he was paid a ridiculous amount of money to do a job, and when he began to fail to do his job he was sacked. That's the way it works in all walks of life man. I would expect the same thing if I bad mouthed my boss too. Especially on live TV.

Towards the end, after all the money he was given to spend, he still wanted more and more, and that happened because he realised that some of the players he bought to the club were actually sh1te, and they were not performing. So he wanted to buy even more players to replace the bozo's that he had previously bought.

I'm sorry to say this but Jose has very little idea what he's doing when looking for players. He made some dreadfully expensive mistakes at Chelsea, which was the reason why he was not allowed to delve into the transfer market on his own any more. How can you give total control over all football matters to a guy who see's a great player that he wants, when all the rest of us see is crap. Do I need to list the players who were/are failures?

I'm sure that Jose left Chelsea a much richer (in every sense of the word) man, than when he came to Chelsea so yeah, I'm grateful for what we achieved with him in charge, but that does not make me feel like I should defend him when I think he is wrong. He did a great job for us, and he will always be fondly thought of, but now he is gone, he is history. Great history, but history non the less.

As a fan of chelsea, I have seen managers come and go. My loyalty is to the manager that is in place. Not the previous manager or the manager before him. When Avram Grant took over, my loyalty went to him. Now he is also gone, my loyalty will be to the next guy, and when HE eventually loses the plot, I will say goodbye to him too. It's the same for all fans of all clubs.

I support my club. I generally do not support individuals at that club, because very few individuals at Chelsea share the love I have for the club.

You can't buy loyalty, and I don't expect it from anyone either except other chelsea fans, because whether its a player or a coach, they will be at my club to further their own interests, and when they decide that the time is right to move on, they will.

...but I will still be here supporting my club.

Thanks mate, and your points are taken on board also.

Don't get me wrong though, it's because of Jose that my club is where it is today. He was perfect for us as we began to rebuild Chelsea. No other person could have done a better job in my opinion.

I believe that one day Jose will come back to Chelsea, and when he does he will be 10 times the coach, and 10 times the man that he was while he was here. When that day comes, I will welcome him back with open arms. The affection for the guy that is felt by Chelsea fans will never diminish. To us he will always be the "special one". (Y)
