I come from Denmark, we have an excellent football team and usually do well in major tournaments but now I ve discovered something in WC 2002. Its 20 times easier to win a game with England that with Denmark, eeek, this makes me sad. Its all because of the amount of starplayers England has....Denmark has last years top goalscorer in Germany and he is not even a star :(. Its sooooo much easier to play with England, I score a lot with Paul Scholes.

Dont get me wrong, I believe England overall has a better team than Denmark, I may love my nation but I aint blind, but England isnt twice as good as Denmark..to me thats exactly how England feels in WC 2002. Bear in mind that I have absolutely nothing against England, think especially Michael Owen is a great player.

I am doing a lot better now with Denmark since I took their only star player and put him as a striker, Jesper Grønkjær who actually is a winger. He scores a lot of goals now.

I could offcourse leave him as a winger and he would still score some goals, but in my oppinion I am entitled to set up my formation in order to get the best results, and I do that with my winger up front instead.

Maybe all teams should have 3 or 4 starplayers with skills as difference only, that would still give Beckham an advantage since he would be better at shooting/passing than one of the danish chosen star players if Denmark also had more starplayers. But this would give all teams a certain amount of players to fire those "fireshots". although some would be better at it than others.

I know exacly how you feel, I'm also pretty pissed off with the lack of star players for Uruguay. I would of been happy with 2 (Recoba and Montero). But now, after seeing how badly Uruguay was done, I'd be happy if they'd at least put the skill levels right.

the skill levels are all wrong, for example, LEMBO is a substitute and has 58 and EGUREN its a starter a he has like 78. DARIO RODRIGUEZ its not even between the susb and CARINI is only 71 for what I remember, all horrible!!!! no kits, no faces, no skill levels:( :( :(

Yep thats EA for ya.. pretty much sums up how little they know about football.

Personally im sick of England being overrated both in the real world and in computer games.. there national team has done nothing for ages yet they still seeem to be a powerhouse in most games.

Gerard a star lol... u gotta be kidding me :p

i understand what you guys are saying but dont sit here and tell me that all teams should have at least 4 star players like someone did. thats crazy.

but stats that at least conform to kinda what they do IRL would be cool.

whats the editors are there, stats updates and such will be nice.

Of course all teams should not have 4 stars.. teams like China ect havent proven themselves on the world stage yet so there would be no sense in giving them 4.

France should have 4 but England definately should not as they r overrated.

How many star players a team has should be judged on their current status not what they did 40 years ago cause since 66' England have done little considering how much money and resources they put into football, but they are continually a powerhouse in every game and have 4 stars in this one.

Its no big deal just abit sick of England being a force in every game when in the real world of football they are not.

Each nation has its stars within the nation. Lets say China f.ex. also had four stars in their team with the best star as follows:

(Fictive name) (fictive stats)

Lieu Wong : 4 5 6 4 5 5 6 3 2 5 5

England would also have 4 stars but their stars would have much better ratings and score/pass/tackle easier. But this would allow the chinese player that buys the game to play defensive and hope that maybe a lucky strike from one of his stars would hit the goal. They would most likely loose but still have a chance to win.

Thats exactly how football is. All teams in the WC have a chance of winning over one another.

No, i think that you are wrong... stars player seams only that this player has 7 points on: shot or pass or drible or run or tackle.

I think that the number of star players ny nation is good (Not very good.. only good), but i think that there is to diference between a player that has 6 on shot and one that have 7 (star)... i think that this differnce must be less... How EA can do it? Easy.. making stats from 1 to 10, and stats better than 7 will be star players... then we will have stars players betters than other.. and this way we could have more stars players on team like Uruguay.

With the actual EA sports stats we cant loose with Brazil (F.e).. Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Roberto Carlos has 7 on shot... you can score from where you want... i think that is better than Argentina.. because Argentina has only 2 stars on shot (veron and ¡piojo lopez!).

I will start making a new patch.. that only will update stats... but i must waith for an FCDB XP update because i have WIn98... Also we must update Roasters.. today the Sweden's list for the WC was published:

Arqueros: Magnus Hedman (Coventry/Inglaterra), Magnus Kihlstedt (Copenhague/Dinamarca) y Andreas Isaksson (Djurgaarden/Suecia).
Defensores: Olof Mellberg (Aston Villa/Inglaterra), Patrik Andersson (Barcelona/España), Johan Mjaellby (Celtic FC/Escocia), Michael Svensson (Troyes/Francia), Tomas Antonelius (Copehnague/Dinamarca), Erik Edman (Heerenveen/Holanda), Andreas Jakobsson (Rostock/Alemania) y Teddy Lucic (AIK Solna/Suecia).
Volantes y delanteros: Tobias Linderoth (Everton/Inglaterra), Niclas Alexandersson (Everton/Inglaterra), Anders Svensson (Southampton/Inglaterra), Fredrik Ljungberg (Arsenal/Inglaterra), Marcus Allbaeck (Heerenveen/Holanda), Henrik Larsson (Celtic FC/Escocia), Magnus Svensson (Broendby/Dinamarca), Mattias Jonson (Broendby/Dianamarca), Haakan Mild (Wimbledon/Inglaterra), Daniel Andersson (Venecia/Italia), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Ajax Amsterdam/Holanda) y Andreas Andersson (AIK Solna/Suecia).
