Pro Evolution for the PS2 wins hands down.

The new fifa is amazing with some great touchs. The player run button is a brilliant feature and should become standard on footie games. The commentry is excellent as usual and the player database is awesome. It is still let down by poor graphics and the a.i is terrible. Your fullbacks barely overlap and you find your central defender on the rightwing sometimes.

Pro Evolution never really needed to improve the gameplay, but they have tweaked it up again to make it even more realistic. The shots and headers are amazing and the A.I is second to none. Graphically it is beautiful to add to the beautiful gameplay. The animation is a different class with all the actions looking good. Its the closest to real football, without being on the pitch in real life.

It really is the industry standard for computer football.

I have also played This is football and whilst the graphics are wonderful the gameplay and animation is very poor.

Agreed fifa has some nice touches but theye have been poorly implemented, with the player run button being a prime example. It feels as if the player run button has been included due to the programmers inability to create decent AI players, if the player run button was taken away it would be fifa 2001 all over again. Also once the player has made a forward run they make their run and if you were unable to find room for the pass they will just stand next to your striker, there is no checking of their runs..also annoying is trying to get a full back on opposite side of pitch to run. This usually involves you accidently sending your whole backline forward, with no intention of returning to position until the ball is turned over.

Unfotunately I don't have PES yet( but from past ISS experience and the overwhelming praise for this game I don't think Im going to be disappointed) and will be renting TIF soon so Ill have to get back to you on them..

TiF is a better game than FIFA - it's less "kiddy" in the gameplay, has OK commentary and has the best Graphics out of the 3.

Every game isn't a guaranteed win and whilst it may be flawed (defending is a bastard). It has more atmosphere than FIFA and is more fun asa result. I've actually played FIFA now and it was WORSE than I thought it would be.

Boring, Repetative, Boring, Repetative, Dull, Ill-Concieved and not worth £10.
