Isn't that curling thing every year? I hope the schedule for curling doesn't mess up cl coverage.

i heard tsn lost the rights to CBC for that crappy curling thing that forces some CL games to air at 3:30 am. If anyone knows for sure, tell me.

I assume well continue to get two games a week (hopefully more) plus one game from TLN each week as well.

CL looks amazing this season, so i hope we get as much coverage as possible.

Yeah but don't forget, TSN get's better ratings with curling then it doesn with soccer. So obviously there going to show the program that gives them higher ratings. That's just common sense people.

UEFA Champions League
---------------------

ESPN International holds exclusive US
and Canadian TV distribution rights in all languages,
to the UEFA Champions League, from Match Day 1
through the Final, through the 2005-2006 season
via an agreement with Switzerland-based
sports marketing agency TEAM AG.

In the US, UEFA has required ESPN International to
offer a minimum of 13 matches each season (1 match each on
match days 1-6, 2 round of 16 matches, 2 quarterfinal matches, 2
semifinal
matches, and the final) on a non-pay-per-view channel
that reaches a minimum number of households. ESPN International
will meet this contractual requirement
by airing the 13 matches on ESPN2.

ESPN International has sublicensed English-language US TV
rights to ALL UEFA Champions League matches not aired
on ESPN2 (including 6 quarterfinal matches and 2 semifinal matches)
to Setanta Sport for broadcast on the Setanta Channel.

ESPN Deportes will air 77 matches each season (in Spanish):
8 matches each on match days 1-6, all 16 round of 16 matches,
all 8 quarterfinal matches, all 4 semifinal matches, and the final.

--

In Canada, TSN/RDS will offer 25 matches each season
(2 matches on match days 1-6, 4 round of 16 matches,
4 quarterfinal matches, all 4 semifinal matches,
and the final), with TLN (TeleLatino Network) airing additional
matches involving Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese teams
that are not aired by TSN/RDS.

--

The US and Canadian TV rights to each qualifying round match
is sold individually by the market agency designated by
the home team of each match. Agencies involved include
Octagon CSI (most English teams except Newcastle United),
Media Pro (most Spanish teams),
and SportFive (over 80% of the teams).
