yes it does explain it. and it says:

you're not offside when:

- ball between you and the goal line.

(on the pics the player who gets the pass is between the ball and the goalline, therefore it is ofsside)



edit: so you can't pass to someone who is ahead of the ball unless there are 2 opponenents between (or even with) him and goalline

Man... I can't believe... You people need to learn some football!! Both are offside!!! Have you watched any match of football? You don't seem to know the rules!!!
A player is offside when, in the moment that a teammate passes to him, he is behind the last player of the other team (GK not included!!!)!!!When there are 2 players from the attacking team alone with the opposit goalie, the player who recieves the ball from the other teammate must be behind the ball!!!
Another particular situation of offside:
Let's say that the opposite GK went in the opposite penalty box at a corner, and the other team won the ball and went on a counter-attack with 2 or more players. And then, let's say that an opposite player managed to catch the 2 players who went on the counter attack (the GK was waaay behind to catch up). He is now near the goal, and the 2 players are going in the box. It's offside if one attacking player passes to the other one (the one who recieves the pass is in front of the one who passes the ball, but behind the defender who tries to save the ball), because the last defender is like the GK. It doesn't count as a defender. It's NOT offside if the player who recieves the pass is behind the one who passes!
Hope the ones who were convinced that it's not offside are now realizing that they don't know football!!!!

I wasn't harsh on you. It's never too late to learn. But, I wasn't thinking about you. You just stated your belief. You haven't used any phrases like "watch and learn". I meant that on those who used this type of phrases! (see above (more above, not you!)) I just can't believe that! I learned tho offside rule before I new that at the half time, they change sides of the field.

If the player receiving the ball is not either level or behind the passer then he's offside. Maybe next time just try to score with the player who has the ball in the frst place? ;DDDDD! xDDDDD!

yes, this is normal offside, if there isnt goalie (pass under last player-GK), it wouldnt be offside

One thing I've noticed (at least in '08) is that it'll call you offside if you take a shot on goal while a player is offsides; in that case, it SHOULDN'T be called, since the player in question is actually not receiving a pass in the offside position, but is simply standing offside.
