Is there any way I can change player's attributes? (PS2)

Hi there, I just want to know if its possible to changes player's attributes (skills, appearance, etc) in the game.

I also want to know if I can trade players with out playing carrer mode. I know that when playing carrer mode i can trade players (buy) but, can a trade them in the menu, where i can play with the players a trade in a friendly match?
