I know, I know, I believe he /may/ be older then he says, but I'm just not sure .. and I know he isnt a bodybuilder, I'm just saying, it /is/ possible, however rare it may be. Its all irrellevant now though, all that matters is how he turns out in the next 4 or 5 years as far as im concerned. If he is 40 and he can play, then more power to him.

I have my doubts too about his age, but I'm not sure that we can base anything on his physique.

If he plays a lot of games, he will build up those legs, so for me this is not a good criteria. Today, I thought he looked a lot smaller physically than the other players out there. Lebron James looks like a 30 year old too, but he is 19. So it definitely is possible that he's 14.

I always thought he was older than 14 too, but I have a friend who's been shaving since he was 12, and he's 15 now, has more facial hair then my dad, and has a really deep voice, has big leg and arm muscles, and he doesn't take steroids, he just grew fast, these things are rare, but they happen, but since freddy's famous, everybody makes a big deal, it is possible that he is lieing, but it's also possible that he's telling the truth, i really don't kno what to think......but at least since my friend looks 19 or 20, he doesn't have to show ID when he buys beer

anyway, he could well be 14, since growth and aging is totally dependant on the person.

I think he's 16 based on his appearance, but his voice is a lot higher than a 16 year old's voice. I wouldn't be surprised if he really was 14.

The person who started this thread is clearly a big supporter of the eugenics movement. Look buddy, just because he doesn't have any "caucasian" or "latin" blood in him doesn't mean anything. And by the way, he has no facial hair in the slightest.

I think he looks older than 14... but I've met some 14 year olds that I've thought the same about and they were actually 14, so you never know. I had a friend who was 6'0, 170 lbs when he was 14.

In the end, who really cares how old he is. As long as he turns out to be a good player...

Exactly, and Adu isn't 6'0'' at all.

And what I mean about the facial hair is that he doesn't have any 5 O'Clock Shadow. A lot of people were talking about facial hair earlier, and Adu certainly has none.

He would be 14 why would they make up some other age. With his built up legs. He would of been training like a semi professional player for the last 2-3 years so it doesnt surprise me they are like that

possible he is older as in some countries birth records are not kept very well.

My cousin came from India a few years ago and we said he was 2 years younger so he could go to grade school for a longer time.
