For God Sake people, this is a big improvement on previous Fifa games. It has to be said that they have taken a great step forward in terms on gameplay. I was slightly concerned about the career mode, in would it be playable say, six to nine months down the line, but I think after completing the first season being the L.F.C (winning everything...naturally!), that really isn't a worry anymore. If there was anything that I could criticise on. It would be that with the Latin American sides, they could've got teams such as Penerol and Deportivo Cali into the set-up. But apart from that small scratch. It really is a class game.

Yeah, I know... but didn't you hear Pinto da Costa? "Se a relva o permitir"...

Earthworm: No, it wasn't a big improvement over previous games. They should've headed the way they were heading in WC2002. That was the best post-98 FIFA game. Now, I haven't played any of the console games, but I have one thing to say about the demo: It's AWFUL. My computer runs Halo on 1024x768 and my frame rate never drops under 28. With FIFA, at that same resolution, it's a constant 15. FIFTEEN. It's unplayable. At 800x600, it's at a constant 23. UNPLAYABLE. It also has TERRIBLE sound output. Halo is a much more resource-intensive game, and it runs just fine here. But not FIFA2k4.

It's probably best if you try it out yourself rather than relying on what other people think. :) What you like in a game may not be what others like, and vice versa. :D

there is a good advice nilnil
try the demo and if you like it the full game it will be better and if you don´t like the demo the full game isn´t going to make you love it.

The game is very good. It would have been excellent if they could fix three things:

a) Get back the multiplayer options (like bein able to create a multiplayer league/cup). Can't understand why EA has removed these options. Looks like a rush job...

b) The different players still feel a bit too similar. Controlling a lightweight technician should feel dramatically different from controlling a huge, muscular centerhalf slugger...

c) EA definitely needs to do some more research concerning the player stats. Don't think they realize that the minor clubs have some decent players...

It is the best FIFA in my opinion and it plays great.

There's probably past FIFA's that have had MORE to offer though in terms of teams and modes/options, which is a shame. But you can tell EA have really worked on the gameplay. I think FIFA 2005 will be amazing.

Surely fifa being worse than PES isnt bad at all. I am not a 'fan' of either game, i just get the best one. I beleive that fifa 04 is better that pes 2 but not pes 3. Tho i will get fifa so i can be port vale!!!!:hump: :hump: :hump: :hump: :hump: :hump:
