Speaking of which, this "No" vote might just be Ireland crying for attention because they didn't qualify :D

>>No problem with that... that's great I think to help countries like Ireland for their growth. But I just regret that everybody here wrote that's great to say no to the Europe building without remembering of this part of Europe.

I know that YOUR intentions are good but the EU's aren't. The thing really is taking over Europe and turning it into a superstate. Remember how German's were a bit reluctant with the Euro? Eventually their currency got so ****** with that they were forced to trade them in for Euros. Same will happen the the UK and the GBP. Sadly, Ireland can say no all they want but in the end, they'll be forced to accept this and the EU will go through.

Btw do you guys know how the EU voting works (not referendum). A lot similar to certain congress', they just need part of the vote from the people who're at the vote. That means that if all the people AT the vote favour it, it wins even if it wouldn't if everyone had been there to vote in the first place.

Also kinda interesting that Merkel (look at some of her roots btw) should be given the EU rotating presidency for the 1st time that it's changed to two friggin years long.

Why should we be forced into something that was not fully explained and our leader had not fully read. We won't be bullied by anyone.

Precisely. The national mentality of Ireland is such that sitting back and taking it up the brown tunnel politically just doesn't happen. Like Bobby pointed out, after what the Irish people historically went through to have their own country they won't allow it to be signed away by the TDs.

FWIW, it's Article 48 that gets me. A self-amending constitution that gives the Eurocrats more power and those whom the decision directly affects no say whatsoever is so wide open to abuse...
