Well, next time can the FAI and Bertie actually care about a serious bid unlike last time? You proved with the Ryder Cup you can host tournaments if you want to, and since Croke Park's finally come off its "No English sports" rule, it would give us both a cracking chance.

yeah ,,i am one of them saying no to croker but id love to show the world how great the GAA is,,and what a great stadium we have,,but the no english thing has a huge impact on irish people,,,1916 and stuff,,but it be amazing to see the best players in europe in croker

Croker on the other hand would be great, but I've never been a fan of the mentality of the GAA. That whole no English sports thing was disgusting.

Disgusting,,first im a bigger GAA fan and im 16 but i know more about sports then most people,,,and i dont know if u know about the english opening fire on croke park,,and killing many GAA fans,,Also it isnt english it is foreign sports,,Heritage simple as that,,but i wouldnt like to see ireland have to play in ehgland so im happy to see them play in croker and plus the GAA get loads out of it

i love gaa, especially over the past few years since tyrone have won 2 all ireland titles, but croke park has already agreed to host the euro 2008 qualifiers, i know the gaa can be tacky at times, but whos to say if they get some money that theyre gonna say no?

Hold on there now, you can't blame people nowadays for something that happened 90 years ago. Trust me, I know a lot more about history than you do, got an A in honours LC. I like to watch the GAA, but in my opinion they need to come into the 21st century. A lot of fans are the most ignorant people I've ever met. I also find it disgusting that the ******* guy checking tickets gets paid more than the players. With the money the GAA get surely they can give them something worth while. The players have to train hard numorous days a week, buy boots etc, do their 9-5 job and all they get is lousy travel expenses.

So if you want to bring up some bull**** from 90 years ago, for which English people today had NOTHING to do with, then go ahead, but you are living in the past. Too many people on this little island think like you. I'm a fan of the GAA and just because I said the rule was stupid doesn't make me any less of a fan.

first fair play in ur A in ur lc i got the same in me jnr,,,Ignorant people,,that remark cracked me up,,in soccer u need about 10 rows to seperate fans,,,in the GAA you can sit beside the other teams fan and talk to him/her and have some banter with him/her.and the paying thing is simply over well lets pay out inter county players well what about the ladies football,the hurlers comogie,,handball players and minor players and junior players and u-21,,the gaa cant afford to pay all these players so but at least they are trying,,
and players get there boots free,,if they sign sponsorships throught the board,and it is not just english it is foreign sports,,,we have built the best staidum in ireland and the uk and it is not our fault the fai could do the same,,and if you knew your history you would know what a big part the GAA played in keepin ireland irish
