Invisible players

Ok, I am having a hell of a time playing with new stadiums downloaded from this site!!

I managed to get them working by deleting my user files from "My Documents" but then a few games into a tournament the players and pitch markings dissapeared from the game leaving only the ball visible (I still managed to score a goal tho, just for a laugh!)

I had a look through these forums for a solution and found this...

Good news guys. I think i found the bug that make players dessapear from the field during a match. I allready played two seasons and it never hapened again.
In ai.ini (ini.big) there is a line:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
//CPU do tactic sub or not
DO_CPU_SUB = 1
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

set this to DO_CPU_SUB = 0 and the CPU wont make substitution during a match. The first dessapearing problems appear when a new CPU player enter the field (probably the cinematics data) and first you dont see the new player and after that (3-4 matches) the players dessapear. Well, now they don't. I hope that help.

But I have tried this and now FIFA is not working at all, I changed the line in that file using notepad and I think doing this has changed the format of the .big files somehow, even though they still show as .big files.

I have uninstalled FIFA and will reinstall soon, but I was wondering if there is any way around the dissapearing players problem as editing the .big file didn't seem to work (unless I did it wrong, was notepad the right program to use?)

Further to this, I have tried installing FIFA file master to see if I can edit the .big file with that, but file master doesn't seem to work, it just crashes upon startup every time.

Looks like i will have to just make do with regular stadiums.

I don't know why is that happening to you. I have imported a lot of stadiums into FIFA 07, and I never had a problem like that, I never had to delete all the files in FIFA 07 folder. When you import it in Creation Master, deselect all tasks from all tabs except the stadium tab. About the dissapearnce thing, it never happened to me, maybe the CMP file is not good. Does that happens on the original EA stadiums?

Yeah, it did happen first while playing a game in one of the original EA stadiums, but only when I had modded stadiums installed. I have since uninstalled/re-installed FIFA and it is working fine again.

I will have a go of importing another stadium to see if it happens again, I don't hold high hope though!

You could try rewriting FIFA FAT. This solved a lot of problems for me!

Notepad is definitely not the right program to use to edit the .BIG files so you'll need to restore the original file from the DVD (unless you backed it up before you edited it, in which case just restore the backup). In future don't mess with the INI parameters that way, instead create a USER.INI in the 'FIFA 07' directory and copy the parameters you'd like to change into that file instead.

Which will, almost certainly, mean no!

I think I'll leave editing files etc, as I have no real clue what I am doing and have already had to re install FIFA once since discovering this site! I should learn not to fiddle with things, but I never do.

OK, one last attempt to see if anyone has a solution for my problem before I give up on trying to run modded stuff in FIFA, getting bored of trying now!

Anyway, I tried importin a few new stadiums into my recently reinstalled FIFA07, did it by de-selecting all but the stadium tab in Creation Manager like I was told and this seems to have worked fine, No more having to delete user files.

Played a few matches before it crashed, tried again and now I get this when playing a game...

This was at the Original EA version of Anfield...

could it be a problem with my graphics card?

Anyway, I think I will give up as like I said, am getting bored of all this messing around, its a nice idea to have new stadiums etc but it just isn't liking me!

Quite messy. If you do import stuff into fifa use the regenerate fat & bh option in cm07.

btw on random very few occassions my players disappear aswell. I just use an own substitude then and it works normally again. I know that doesn't fix it but it helps. It seems to have something to do with the video sequences for certain stadiums since the only disappear at the same stadiums at my fifa version.
