For anyone who is interested as to how these companies make money or skeptical as to whether or not this is legit, I contacted the CEO of one and they told me where my money was going.

That looks like my money maker, however how do you retrieve back your original money, and 100% of the interest? It's ok to make a profit, however if you can't touch it, seems a bit pointless.
Also, how can you be sure the company isn't just going to fold, and take your money in their shiney silver suitcase?

I've come a conclusion this is a legit way of earning money. If you're stupid enough not to research this, go in, invest a large amount of money in some cockomaniac site, you'll be sorry.
However, taking a little bit of time has paid off. I wish I had discovered this earlier.

From what I can tell you need a bank account that can send wires, a site to convert physical currency (money in your pocket/bank account) into 'e-gold', then you invest that into a trustworthy site. Retrieving your money + interest is basically a reverse of that process.
Looking on the various communities I've seen, there are people that showcase the sites they use in their signatures. That's an easy way to find out whats good, and what's not. If they've been at that forum for a fair while, 'nuf to say they're not fooling about.

Due dilligence is key to investing, while also not neglecting diversity. If you feel that this site is a scam, that is fair enough but I can confidently say that SI will be around for the next few years.
Anyway, its nice to see that you guys are taking an interest and researching this yourself. Whatever you do I would not recommend even considering HYIP ponzi games unless you are putting in a small sum across multiple sites. Although this is probably as safe as putting your money on 0 on the roulette table
