Interview with Ariel Santarelli

I found a very nice interview of Ariel Santarelli that Xavier Baez has made. I do not know about the rest of you, but with me, I've always had curiosity to see who exactly is the man behind the computer keeping the FIFA/PES scene alive for so many years. I've also found him to be a great person as well, in that he always responds to me kindly on the msn (although sometimes I do bother him a bit :p). He always has the courtesy to help me out if I have a problem. I am also pround of how much adversity he has been able to stand against, in the sense that he was able to survive in a country were things are not going great. Although there is much corruption in politicans, he is an honest example to follow. I wish someday if I go to La Plata, while I am in Argentina, I can visit him as well (first I need to buy a car). In the interview Xavier talks about his recent trip to Argentina a couple of weeks ago, where he met with Ariel. Please read, as I believe it is an excellent find.

Obviously you are a NOOB, thus shown by the date of your inscription to this forum, and you have no idea of what Ariel has done for the community. If you do not care about what I am posting, then do not post at all, just F U C K O F F. I think it is interesting and I hope that other people as well, so please just crawl back into the cave that you came out of, asshole...

It is funny how people go out of their way to comment negatively on something that does not appeal to them, instead of not saying anything at all, they choose to post ironically. What a bunch of dumbasses.

I didn't read the whole text as I'm not interested so much in personal life of patchmakers ;)
but I enjoyed that text
Why are you married with Microsoft? Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Microsoft Messenger, even (the worst program I've tried for editing), Frontpage (inserts countless amount of HTML code you'll never use)?

Come on, stop teasing me. I use it because they are easy to use products (...)
(that answer was changed two weeks later, when Ariel told me that he will NEVER use Microsoft products again. I virus destroyed his computer,(..)

What a horrible website... first time I visited socceraccess, but even with Firefox I get pop-ups, not to forget the full screen advertisements...
I'm sorry but I'm not gonna read it until it's posted on a 'normal' site :ewan:

Maybe you can donate some money to pay for the hosting ;) Because it is very expensive to maintain a website with the "server capacity" of Soccer Access and have it with little or no popups...Until then, the popups are the only way of paying the servers...

can someone list the things Ariel has done for the editing community so that the rest of us relativly new people to the PC version can appreciate him too. I notice he makes balls.

Hmm, the raptor series, 2GK Kits, cinematics, possibility to edit faces using O-edit, edited stadiums, patches, World League, and the list grows on an on....I probably don't even have half of what he has done on my list....

And the fact that he's done all this not just for PES/WE but also for the FIFA games simultaneously!

Yes, you are right Wolf, i can remember that Ariel started doing this things a couple of years ago, (maybe '99 - '00, I think.. correct me if i'm wrong) with the Fifa series, he made stadiums, balls, kits, faces, a lot of things.. :chew:

I believed he started in FIFALA with Xavier Baez, then he moved on to FIFA Express with Diego Chiappussi, Federico Debla, Nicolas Zabalo, etc... (site which I joined in later) and then he continued on to Soccer Access, his current site. He has always been the main man in the FIFA editing scene, and he now seems to be ever more closer to being the main man in the PES Scene...

great interview. There really is no way you can overstate what Ariel Santarelli has done for the FIFA community. The fact that he was not only the first, but the only person to make cinematics for FIFA alone make him the top dog, but the fact that he didn't stop after doing the impossible is amazing.
