Jose Ze Maria's agent Federico Pastorello has stated Perugia and Internazionale are not in talks for the Brazilian, but a future move cannot be ruled out.
Media reports emanating from Italy speculated the South American was in talks with the Giuseppe Meazza outfit.

However, Pastorello has denied negotiations have opened, although they could if the two teams concur on a transfer fee for the Samba star.

Ze Maria was a virtual ever-present for Perugia last term but was unable to prevent the side from suffering Serie A relegation, and is expected to depart Stadio Renato Curi.

"I've had the news from a few sources that Inter are negotiating with Perugia and they could agree, but at the moment nobody has called us," Federico Pastorello of P&P Sportmanagement told skysports.com.

"This is the situation at the moment. I can't exclude something being agreed in next few days, should Inter and Perugia agree a fee."

Blackburn Rovers are keeping close tabs on Internazionale's Italy international defender Daniele Adani, according to reports in Italy.
The 29-year-old Inter stopper is highly rated by the Ewood Park outfit, who already have Italian Lorenzo Amoruso on their books.

Adani, formerly of Fiorentina, is contracted to the Giuseppe Meazza side for another year and as yet the club have not opened negotiations.

Should Inter decide against offering him a new deal they may decide to bring in cash for him now rather than lose him for free next summer.

Rovers finished 15th in The Premiership but only after a good end of season run allowed them to pull away from the drop zone.

Graeme Souness's side conceded a whopping 57 goals last term, and the Scot clearly sees his back line as an area to strengthen.

Blackburn have been linked with Andy Todd and Dominic Matteo this summer, but it appears the club have now turned their attention to Serie A.

Starting XI
Just read that Dalmat is on loan again. This time he's back in France with Toulouse.

I rate him and i think he should be given more of a chance with Inter.

This would be a nice midfield:

Van Der Meyde----------Veron----------Davids-----------Kily/Dalmat

Looks good on paper.

Kily Blows. No Stankovic?

Anyways, Karagouinis is a class player, and Inter should loan him to Fiorentina. Better yet, all of Europes top clubs should band together, and loan all their best players that dont get playing time to Fiorentina (Y);)

An impressive showing in Portugal could have landed Sweden left back Erik Edman a move to Serie A, according to reports from the player's homeland.
The robust full back was an industrious performer in Sweden's march to the tournament's quarter finals and it now appears Internazionale are coveting his signature.

"Edman has impressed us," an Inter source told Sportbladet.

"He has presented himself for the wide world. Before the championship he was anonymous in the big picture.

"There are few natural left full backs and Edman has impressed in his role both offensively and defensively and showed a high level during the whole championship."

Edman, who currently plays with Heerenveen in Holland, endured a miserable spell in Italy with Torino earlier in his career.

Although Edman was unhappy in Turin, the player would presumably still be interested in a move to Italian giants Internazionale.

Lazio president Ugo Longo has dismissed reports that they have given Internazionale the green light to open talks with coach Roberto Mancini.
Reports have claimed that Inter have made contact with Lazio to seek permission to speak to Mancini as they look to name him a successor to Alberto Zaccheroni.

Inter have claimed that they have agreed a deal with Mancini to take over at the Giuseppe Meazza, but Lazio are ready to fight to keep the former Sampdoria star.

Inter supremo Massimo Moratti is thought to have made a personal intervention to try and resolve the wrangle, but Longo insists the situation has not changed.

"No negotiation has been opened with Inter," said Longo. "Mancini is under contract with Lazio and I haven't had any contacts with Moratti.

"Eventually we would have to talk about this with both Mancini and Moratti. For the moment we are only thinking to the capital increase, that is the most important thing."

Inter are keen to seal Mancini's appointment soon as they begin pre-season preparations on July 10 and they want a new coach in charge by then.

Inter Reject Recoba/Saviola Swap

Inter have told Barcelona that they will not swap Alvaro Recoba for Javier Saviola this summer.

The Nou Camp outfit were reportedly ready to offer the Argentine in a desperate attempt to net the Nerazzurri star.

But Inter chief Massimo Moratti, who is a massive fan of the Uruguayan, wants to keep hold of the 28-year-old.

The Spaniards were hopeful that a deal could have been agreed given a number of circumstances.

Both players earn roughly the same amount of money, around £2.5m a season, which wouldn’t have caused a problem.

The two men could have also been tempted to move after difficult campaigns with their respective clubs last season.

However, it seems that Inter are hopeful that the arrival of Roberto Mancini as Coach will finally see Recoba live up to his potential.

==========================

Big mistake in my opinion. Saviola has always been one of my favs, and a partnership with Vieri/Adriano would be perhaps the best in the world. Both clubs as well as the players would all benefit from this swap:kader: Ive always felt Recoba symbolized the club. A clearly talented player, that always seems to dissapoint, and before every campaign ppl wonder, 'will this be his year?' You could say the same things about Inter.

1000 posts ;)

Recoba is King. I repeat, Recoba is King! I realize that He's injury prone, but he has been misused too much and treated unfairly by managers too, and through all that hardship, he remains king. He has that aura about him when the ball is in his control, he's multi-faceted....he can play creative playmaker/goalscoring support striker/ball distributing and controlling midfielder.....he's the perfect player in many ways, man. I truly fear him doing a Venezia on us and having a marvelous season elsewhere. I dig Saviola a lot, but Inter has got Martins (ain't saying Martins equals to Savi interms of control and finishing, but in other areas, he surpasses him.....plus he's younger too. So given the opportunity next season alongside Adriano and King Recoba supporting the two of them, Martins should develop rapidly and fill out his potential quicker thus eliminating the need for a Saviola type player)

i think the swap would be great, as much as I like Recoba he never puts in consistant performances. Savi would be the perfect partner for Adriano or Vieri.

If barca want Recoba maybe we could ask for Ronaldinho :crazyboy:

I can always dream.......:mrpimp:

Well guys, no matter how much you may like him, hes been at inter for like 4 yrs and never delivered consistently. If they can get a guy like Saviola in return, they should jump at it. At least make a swap as a yr long loan.
