Inter confirm interest in Giggs

Inter Milan have signalled their intent to bring Ryan Giggs to Serie A this summer.

The Manchester United winger has been linked repeatedly with a move to Italy but Inter president Massimo Moratti has now confirmed his interest.

'Every year there's talk of us getting Giggs and although I think Manchester United are still keen on him, I believe an offer will be considered,' Moratti told the Sunday Mirror.

'The fact is we like him and we will be making an offer in the summer.

'He is the type of player the fans will love here. We are confident that if a deal can be done, we will do it.'

In a glittering career, Giggs, the 29-year-old Welsh winger, has suffered his first major dip in form this season, and has even been subject of previously unthinkable criticism from sections of the United support.

So if they do put in a bid how much do you think they will bid and also do u think Giggs will leave if Man Utd say Yes????

Post any comments here

I got the info from soccernet.com

I wouldn't like to see Giggs leave. As they say, form is temporary, class is permanent. I'm sure Giggs will return to form, probably during this season, and play a major part in United's - and Wales' - fortunes.

I don't think moving to Inter will solve his problems.

United need a good left winger to stand behind Giggs. This way Giggs will be forced to demonstrate some consistency in his play.

The rumor becomes true. I have a doubt he will do well at Inter in next season. I don't wanna see him the same case happen again with Robbie Keane.

what i had heard a while ago was that Solari was going to go from Real to Inter, and Inter was going to ship Solari to Man Utd for Ryan Giggs.

but i just dont see that happening.

giggs should leave .. they way the fans and hierachy have treated him this year with his form dip geez i would feel very hard done by especially after so many years of quality service ... Man u will just buy Kewell for 38 million out of kenyons back pocket

There is also Duff for Man Utd to go after should Giggsy leave.

But it will be disappointing to see a player who has done so much for his club to leave. Hopefully he will help United win some silverware this season and then can leave on much better terms.

I still think it is premature to think that Giggs WILL leave. First of all, an offer by Inter could well be rejected by United, and then Giggs, who has been with the Old Trafford club all his life, might feel difficult to leave. He has no track record at anywhere outside Britain, and might think twice before moving abroad, especially to a club like Inter where many foreigners have failed (Robbie Keane, Bergkamp, Jonk, etc.).

I don't think that Giggs will leave either, Man U is in his blood.....and he hasn't been horrible this season, it's just that we haven't see the giggs we're used to, but he'll be back. It's just like with Becks this season, he's slowly rounded back into form.

giggsy may leave man u, cos he was booed by old trafford fans for the first time this year!!!
Thats a very convincing reason
every player who is booed by the fans should leave to another club..
Giggsy is still the best LW in the Premiership.. he just lost some of his confidence.. he needs a little bit of time to get back to his top form..

I think that it would be good for the country of Wales if Ryan Giggs were to leave Man Utd, i agree with what JJ said. it would also be good for his image amung his country's population, as they would want to see him play for the Welsh NT more.

He should totally go for it. I mean he's basically got only about one year left so would be... Oh wait a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!

He wouldn't be good for us at all. In fact, I'd like to claim that he isn't even good for Man United these days. He can still handle the ball well but you easily see that his condition is getting in the way of his play. If they do get him, I would be very disappointed. Simply a waste of money.
