Improvements for FIFA 2004

I think that in FIFA 2004, I agree with everyone, an addition of the Turkish, Argentianian and Ukrainian league is needed. I would like to see Shaktar Donestk of Ukraine and Rio de la plata or Boca Juniors of Argentina, and Besikitas and Fenerbache of Turkey. Also an addition of the African Nations Cup would be good since there is an African nations cup every two years. There was one in 2002, so there will be one 2004. It would be cool to see it every two years like again on FIFA 2006. Also another thing. I think that your ratings for teams is kinda biast. You guys tend to make African teams too weak for no reason. African teams have proven to do well in the World Cup and have beaten European teams fair and square that you guys rate much higher than them. While watching the world cup, the European teams didn't play way better than the African teams. Senegal, Nigeria and Cameroon did pretty well. I think that the ratings in Winning Eleven 6 are rather fair for the African teams. The African teams have always held their own. Teams that did not even perform well in this world cup like France and Argentina are getting very high ratings while Cameroon, Nigeria, and Senegal are getting low ratings. I just want you guys to rate teams fairly. When Nigeria played Sweden with not even their best team, they dominated that match, and Senegal beat Sweden and France. Cameroon are African champs. I just wish that you guys would respect these teams more. There are actually people out there that recognize those teams, and would like to use them. These teams are resepected. It always seems that people tend to mention Europeans and South Americans, when in reality there are many great African players like El Hadji Diouf of Senegal (who in my opinion is the best player in the world right now) that are left out or no one looks at. For example, Julius Agahowa is Nigeria's most dangerous striker right now, but no one recognized him on the Nigerian team. You made him an average player. Before the world cup he was the best Nigerian scorer. Another mistake was adding Sunday Oliseh to the squad and removing Victor Agali. Oliseh no longer is on the Nigeran squad but Agali of Schalke is. Please take your time to actually watch these players in action. I can assure you, you would be impressed. There is no reason why these three African teams should not be rated as high as South American and European countries.

Well put. I especially agree with the part about the addition of those Turkish and Argentine leagues.

Cool. Is Ukranian League with only two really strong teams (Dinamo Kiev and Shahter Donetsk) more needed to be in FIFA 2004 than Russian League with more than 5 really strong teams (Lokomotiv M, CSKA M, Dinamo M, Zenith St-P, Spartak M)? Huh? Think about it...

Good post except for saying that Diouf is the best player in ther world right now.
If you have seen him play this year besides the world cup (he was fantastic in it) you would know that he would barely make it in the top 75 for this year. He really underperformed.

Hopefully no Missing players such as Youri Dorkaeff. AND THE RATINGS HAVE TO BE VERY REALISTIC. HOPEFULLY NOT ALL THE PEOPLE CAN DO SKILL. such as owen and crespo, because they barely do backheels let alone tricks so be realistic and let people like okocha, zidane, figo and ronaldinho do more tricks, tricks that nobody can do some tricks(special) that can be done once in while so that we can't be sick of it and simple tricks be done easily like backheels and spins. and please, i would like the addition of futsal or indoor soccer and the ability to recall players for the international squad

Besiktas finished first this year, with the best Keeper Cordóba.
Galatasaray has Mondragon another good keeper.

Yes, I'm sorry I didn't mention a few teams guys. Zidane my friend, you are right, my fellow west African Diouf underperformed this year, but he will be back to par next season. Also I do agree with Peter on the fact that Zidane, Figo, Okocha of Nigeria, and others should get more moves. I also believe that the ratings for Okocha were too low. He was at one point the most expensive player in le championnat of France (The French League) when he played for PSG. Now, he plays for Bolton. They only give him an overall of 84, I believe he deserves about 90. He is a great dribbler and he is also a great passer. I believe that the scouts for FIFA need to be more fair in giving the ratings.

I don't see how an 84 is more than fair. Have you ever seen that guy play??? that guy has mad skill. In Winning Eleven 6 I believe the ratings are more fair. Many agree with me. Julius Agahowa for example does not deserve a 70. He is Nigeria's best player right now, and Nwankwo Kanu doesn't deserve an 86 he's not as good as he used to be. Many have seen Okocha's skill on PSG. He also won Bolton's player of the month so how is an 84 more than fair?? I don't know where that rating came from but please look into the ratings more and do more research on these players. I believe too much time is spent on the Europeans and South Americans. In FIFA 2003, you guys place them on your opening movie. Which just goes to show once again what the press has done. Great African players are ignored as usual. This has happened for the past 8 years with FIFA even when Nigeria became Olympic Champions and team of the year in 96. In 98 when Nigeria beat Spain fair and square you guys still didn't acknowledge that. Yet all the Europeans and South Americans are getting extremely high ratings. I'm not trying to criticize your efforts trust me. I more than appreciate what you guys are doing. I'm just saying that you guys need to do more research and be fair. I wouldn't want Konami to start putting out better products than you guys just because they do more research. Thank you for taking the time to listen.

you guys? I hope you are not counting me since I have no relation to EA whatsoever... I think that they give too many high rankings... and 84 is a good player but not a great player, which in my opinion and from what I have seen him play, is not bad...

I agree with PJ, people like Batistuta, Crespo, and Owen can not do any dribbling tricks. These people are more like opportunists. Players that can only score goals because they are in the right place at the right time. These players are not naturally skilled players like Okocha, Diouf, Figo, Zidane, Ronaldinho, etc. Only those players and others deserve tricky tactics. This is another part where research must be done. We all know that Batistuta can not dribble past defenders he's only an opportunistic player. Owen is the same way, but however he has speed; that's his only advantage.

true.. they may not be dribbling masters... but thats not their function either... they dont get lucky and score goals.. they know where to position themselves in the right place..

They should put the first 100 counries in the Fifa World Rankings by August 2003.

That would include Venezuela (finally), but that is a good idea so it won't happen.

But if my country isnt in neither should Chile, Peru, or Bolivia.

Captain my friend, how many times have you seen Okocha play? People have their shinning moments and their bad moments. It goes with all great players like Okocha. We don't always see Figo play spectacular or some of these "great" players. Okocha is a great player. Even an American commentator during this last world cup said he would rate him up there with Juan Sebastien Veron, Zinedine Zidane, etc. He is a legend in African football. He was once the most expensive player in the French league like I said previously. Also, he helped them tremendously from 98-2001. I believe that winning Bolton player of the month with other names like Mendy and Djorkaeff fellow francophones places him above an 84 my good friend. He destroyed the Spanish defense in the '98 world cup. The reason why EA gives all these players like Ronaldo whos not as good as he used to and others like Vieri and Beckham is due to the fact that these players are outspoken. Everyone pays attention to the older teams like Spain, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, England, etc. But all these newer teams that are playing extremly well these days, no one really cares or wants to see them shine.

Since you have no means in communicating with EA, who does? How are our opinions going to be heard throughtout the EA community? It's unfair that we spend our money on a game that doesn't even focus or take our ideas to mind. I don't know if we should continue to spend $40 on a game when EA refuses to look at our opinions. It's sad to see this happening:( . I certainly hope that in the future we'lll see better ratings.

I guess everyone forgets about Nigeria's olympic performance in 1996 when they beat Brazil in the semifinals and Argentina in the finals. Nigeria used nice precise passing everything the same style they used to defeat spain in 1998. I believe if you guys want to see great attack soccer get a video of Nigeria vs. Argentina in 1996 Nigeria vs. Brazil 1996, and Nigeria vs. Spain 1998. My country proved strong here.

yes Nigeria had a very good batch of players.. but that was 5 years ago... and the ratings are awarded for the last couple of seaons or so.. thats my opinion.

if you had read the forum, you would have come to a topping in which Matt said that EA do read the forums, but they are not allowed to post. U can also go to the official EA forums, in which the fifa moderator tries to answer as much as he can. But since the game is a good 5 months away.. there is not much info as of yet.

Italy also had a good batch of players but not anymore. Obviously Nigeria played well against all the teams in the WC even though they didn't go through. There has not been a single time in FIFA where Nigeria or any AFrican team for that matter, even when Nigeria was excellent were giving a great rating. Nigeria at that time stood up agasint the big names. If EA gave Nigeria good ratings then I would understand but they didn't. Like I said they are not being fair to the African teams and EA knows it because they don't think Africans play these games. They only try to sell these games to the majority (Europeans and North Americans). If more Africans complained then EA would do a better job with their ratings. None of these big names besides Brazil are doing well anymore anyway. I posted that on this thread when I created it, and yet they are still getting good ratings explain this! This is how history always has been. Just because these well known teams did well in the past, they will always get high ratings. I believe more thorough research must be conducted immediately. How did Senegal get a lower rating than teams they beat? Will the African teams and players continue to be cheated by EA? Will Konami take over the soccer buisness? They give fair ratings. African teams are still the fastest. When Nigeria played Sweden, the Swedes were exhausted and Nigeria dominated that match. The West Africans are known for their quick game and precise passing and dribbling. The Nigerians still have great individuals. Don't forget Joseph Yobo was EPL player of the month when he moved from Olympique de Marseille to his new club in the EPL. I've said what I have to say it's EA's decision to listen if they want. No one can give me the excuse of AFrican teams getting low ratings when Europeans and Some South American teams are no longer doing as well. This is biast and unfair.
