I just wanted to rant a bit......
First: I'm sick of you PES/WE people that feel the need to bag on FIFA players. Don't get me wrong, I agree that PES/WE has better gameplay. Hell, I bought a PS2 simply for playing WE6i (USA player here). But there are a lot of good things about both games. But really, I'm just sick of reading this forum and seeing the rudeness towards FIFA people.
I've played both demos, and I have to admit that even tho FIFA has improved, PES3 still has the edge in play. It simply feels better. But you have to admit that FIFA not only has the edge in graphics, but the FIFA license really adds a lot to the game...not to mention the variety of leagues.
This year might really show something new. With the release of PES3 for PC, I really wonder what might happen with the mods for the game that some of you great die-hard folks will create. Kits, players, stadiums, etc for PES could really make this game a true winner, even tho FIFA will still rule with it's variety of leagues.
What worries me is the PES demo plays like crap on my system, while FIFA plays quite well, in hi-res for that matter. This, combined with the leagues, real teams and players, and improved gameplay (as well as on-line play, a HUGE factor I think), all this mention, makes FIFA an almost sure buy for my PC, while I sit on the fence for PES. With the demo's slow play (and I've tweaked and tweaked to get it running well), as well as lack of offical teams and players, not to mention no online play, I really have to wait to see reviews before I make my descion about which game to buy this year.
Lets sum it all up......
EA needs to do what they did with Tiger Woods golf. For years PGA golf was ruling EA in gameplay and other aspects. What did EA do? They went out and got the devs and programmers for PGA and incorporated them into the TW franchise. EA.....spend some of that cash you have and get the PES/WE team and bring the great gameplay of PES/WE to the great FIFA rights you own.
