Impressions of 06 Videos

I am really paranoid guys, I mean the animations look really good, in my opinion, especially the running. But one thing I am terrified of, that I have seen in some of the videos is a lack of midfeild supporting the forwards. It is like the terrible nightmare of last seasons game. I absolutely am peeing my pants in fear that when im on the attack it will be just Shearer and (Chopra?) Dyer, Emre, Parker, and (jenas?) will probally be sitting at the half line chatting and pipes. Someone comfort me...

In 2005 even the midfield would not support the forwards, in the vids you can see they do (ex. Rooney vid), as for the backs, it didn't look like they went far up enough, but it wasn't really that obvious..or even necessary in the given situations the clips demonstrated...so that is still up in the air I guess....but overall it looks better in these areas than 2005

Seeing all the videos available thus far, the most I'm concerned with is the precision of all the ground and air passes, they almost always seem to hit the players spot on, just like in Fifa 2005...not even the best footballers in the world are that accurate all the time.....hope this will be adressed before the final release...a pass accuracy slider would be good to have

From what i've seen the game seems improved all round.

EA have finally sorted the brick-wall like goal nets on FIFA's <05 and now their is a more reallistic look when the ball hits the back of the net.

Crisper movement of both players and ball is another +

The goalkeeper's moves look more like everyday goalkeeping moves (again, more reallistic)

That was just a few things i've noticed from watching the clips of FIFA 06. Looks much improved!

after watching the gamespot videos.. it looks much better than last yr.. lets hope they keep working hard on it before release.. there is still some suspect play by the midfielders.. but overall it does seem like the computer takes less over the players, but I'll wait for the demo.

The thing that impressed me the most on the gamespot videos is the way the keeper reacted after saving the first shot. As soon as he knocked away the first shot he reacted quickly to dive at the second one (Even though it went in it was still good reaction time).

In FIFA 05 the second shot would have been in the goal, the celebrations completed, and kickoff set up before the keeper even recovered from the first shot. Very impressive, it looks nice

yeah i see that too i feel the computer is less involved due to the animations now(them being new and all).

The only thing I don't like about the gameplay videos is that the guys playing it seem to not be very good at the game which doesnt let you see how good the game might be if better guys were playing it IMO...

Year after year it's the same thing with you guys, "The videos are not the final game." (here's my favorite~~~>) "I'll wait for the demo".

People, people, people,,,, at this stage of the game, it is highly unlikely that EA are going to make any drastic change(s) to the overall game. It's safe to say that what you see in those clips (which I have yet to view) is what you'll see in the released game.

Just play PES/WE and you'll be happy.

That's what I did! :sun:

Wow you haven't even seen the videos and yet you are already saying that PES is better. If you have nothing valuable to say, go praise your beloved game on a PES forum. I'll admit that FIFA is fast approaching but there is still time for tweaks on the game.

pro evo and fifa game arguments isnt bout which is good its about human passion. if i was a pro evo fan all my life(which im not by the way) i would obviously go for pro evo even if fifa is the better game and the same for fifa just like the way u support a football team if uve supported for example arsenal ur whole life and they lose matches and get relegated u would still support them watever position they are.

So stop argueing and play the game u support!!!

Same here....I enjoy playing all soccer games which are available, I always look forward to them being released....I will not limit myself by being a fan-boy of a particular title, that would would be depriving myself of the whole football experience

1- I used to be a FIFA fan for the majority of my life, so my opinions aren't those of a blind fanboy. Thank you very much.

2- I'm all for "Play whichever game you like better".

3- I can come to whichever board I like and post about anything I like as long as I don't violently abuse anybody.

i know what exactly u saying, but its not everybody thing the same way, i am not a fanboy based in one game, i am not fan of any game, if fifa 2006 in xbox 360 would be the best football game (witch i don't think it will happen) or if is there complitly a new football game and it got great realistic gameplay and its fun to play, i would go and buy it, but for me pes its way better then any football game today, but if tomorrow i see better football game, i am not gonna say i am not gonna buy it cos i am pes fan, thet's just stupit i played fifa before pes i switched to pes cos there is no other football game more deep in term of gameplay, my point is that games has nothing to do with the team u support. if i go to the sport shop, and i am going to buy a football ball, im not gonna say all my preves balls where adidas i am gonna get adidas, thats just wrong, if i see nike there and the quality is better and it feels and looks better i buy it simple as that, i am not here to bash fifa or anything i thing people should be more open mind not fan boys.
