I had some problems getting on the internet on my laptop (using a router and network cable), I take it to the store I bought it from on Friday, explain everything, leave and wait. On Wednesday I get a call telling me all is solved and I can go and pick it up. I do so and ask what was wrong with it.

"We noticed you use Firefox, so we tried Internet Explorer and everything worked. We did an extensive clean up but couldn't find a thing. That's €30, thank you very much."

I take it back home, test it AND THE DAMN THING STILL DOESN'T WORK! I call them and they suggest me to reset my router (which I - as good little boy - do). Still doesn't help. Again I call them only to be told that the guy from the technical service is having an important phonecall but they guarantee me he'll call me back. 1h30 mins later I still havent heard from them!

Their store closes in two hours and I don't have any transport to get there in time. If they don't call me back within those two hours I'm going to do something impulsive and probably agressive to them.

Discuss.

Do you have any proxy settings and/or DNS settings that have to be used along with your browser in order to be able to view web pages? If not, do you have any that might be causing trouble with FF?
Also, are you sure no firewall, software, such as windows firewall or , hardware, such as router firewall (closed ports for example) arent blocking Firefox.exe?

Taj go in the store and make a big fuss. I work at PCWorld and i know that if customers make a big enough fuss they get whatever they want because for the business itself, so many other customers will walk out of the store a little bit scared that they'll lose **** loads of money.

So, be loud, but dont be forcefully agressive otherwise they have reason to remove you from the store.

I've used this laptop for months now as well as Firefox, never had any problems with firewalls and stuff. If somebody has an idea on an easy way to check all of this out I'm all ears.

Walk into the shop calmly but with your eyes bulging and a manic look on your face, placing a claw hammer down on the counter.

I have a service plan on my laptop for 3 yrs luckily but my other computer's gotten screwed up a few times. And it just needs to be reinstalled to fix it, I don't know how to do it. Everytime I take it to one of those smaller computer stores they'll fix it for under $40 but a large store will always charge at least $90, sometimes just to diagnose it.

hurhur. Yeah, that board is I think like over $3000, man. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! 192GIGS OF RAM! I wonder how expensive it would be to try to fully max it out? You could probably operate the space program with those specs and still have enough ram left to run two different FM games with large databases and every country's league and sub leagues enabled.......*drools*
