still shocked !
:nape:

This is just not shocking, it's ridiculous!!! We have lost 6 league matches on row, we haven't done that since the club was founded!!! This looks so ugly, and I hate to say, but I think we will go down.

I still can't believe we weren't able to beat you guys and make it to the CL especially after smashing Vålerenga (the league leaders) at their ground 0-3 the way we did :boohoo:, it seems luck is with you guys in Europe but when it comes to the league....

Yep, I can't believe we have done so good in Europe and so crap in the league, it used to be opposite:|. But remember that Vålerenga had to play with their second team against you, because of the extreme match program, but I don't complain about that.:p

True, they only played 5 of their regulars but I don't care, either with that or with all 11 regulars tired on the pitch we would of still probably gotten the same result.

Vålerenga didn't play with ONE regular first team player, NOT ONE. And four out of the eleven who started the game had NEVER played football at the highest level in Norway (which is Tippeligaen/the Premier Division). So I don't think Vålerenga had any plans of beating you guys.

Well that's not our problem now is it? We knew about their decision to not play their regulars from a day before because their coach announced it in the press conference, now knowing that we could of went in and considered ourselves winners already but we didn't we went out and dominated the whole match and scored three brilliant goals. It's not our fault that Valerenga is making fun of the only European football they will play this season, we went in and grabbed a 3-0 win and that's all there is to it.

edit: and you're wrong they did have some regulars in the SL

Okay, but you made it sound like you should have qualified easily against Rosenborg since you smashed the league leaders 3-0, when it in fact is a total different team that have played the league matches.

And yes, you won 3-0 and that's all there is to it. Just thought I'd brighten the reason up a little for the one's who didn't see the match.

But Steaua has a very good technical side with many exciting players (especially Iacob and Nesu), and I wish you all the best in future matches.

What is the relegation format in the Norwegian League? Bottom 2 get relegated? Is there a play-off, also?

Rosenborg's position is looking perilous. Surely they can't be relegated whilst still playing in the CL!!

The 2 last teams goes direct down, the 3rd last team will play a 2-leg play-off against the 3rd team in the 1st division.

Oh, we are!

We are going to play against Løv-Ham next year! :rockman:

tbo, I was already thinking that when you are below a team called Ham-Kam, then things must be bad. But a team called Løv-Ham? I suppose it's better than being called Løv-Pork.

I would like to know the full story of what has happened to Rosenborg. Were the warning signs there last season, even though they just won the championship (or did Valerenga pip them on goal difference)? No new players were brought in? Why, no money? Complacency? Was it clear at the beginnning of the season that this was going to be a poor season? Did they sack the coach? Was he the same coach that brought them some of the 13 titles? Does the new coach have a good past record as a coach? What is it like at the games? Are the fans really hostile to the team when they keep losing? Are the other teams all laughing at Rosenborg? It's an amazing story, I'm sure.

I can't give you the whole story, because that will take forever. But I can answer the questions you made.

I would say there where warning signs already 4 years ago, when many players where getting old. Now many of these have been changed out, and many new has come. This is one of the problems. Rosenborg won the league last year with more goals scored, same goal differense and points. :p

As I mentioned, a lot of new players have been brought in. This summer, two from Ururguay came, Alejandro Lago and Sebastian Eguren. Lago have been very good, Eguren haven't got to play much (which I can't understand). And money is not a problem, Rosenborg is by far the richest club in Norway.

aqua said:

No, we were going for the 14th. We knew that someday we wouldn't win the league, but no one believed it would happen in this way.

aqua said:

2002: Nils Arne Eggen - retired (He is the reason behind RBK's success)
2003: Åge Hareide - took over the national team
2004: Ola By Riise - sacked
2005: Per Joar Hansen - sacked
2005: Per-Mathias Høgmo - just hired

aqua said:

He has led the Norwegian womens team to gold in the olympics. Have led the U-21 team for Norway and Tromsø in Tippeligaen.

I think the supporters have done a good job, could be better though. There are almost just as many on the matches this year as last year. Many say "boooo" when they play like crap, just normal, but it has happened little too much this season. But not hostile.

Everyone that is not a Rosenborg supporter are having the time of their life. :(

well i don't speek for everyone who not support Rosenborg but yes it was about time Rbk got a smack in the face!
when that is said i will also say that i don't want them to go down to the 1th division!
Rosenborg is and will always the biggest football club in Norway, they have won the title more times than any other team will ever do and have been Norway's contribution to the Champions league for many years, and Freaked out many "big" clubs with there offensive play.
A lot of people will be sad if Rbk shoud go down, but thats football,if u dont upgrade the team it will show after a while.

Amazing score for Rosenborg, but with Molde to play Bodo/Glimt tomorrow, at least one of these teams will score points to close in on Rosenborg. When was the last time Rosenborg did not qualify for Europe?

I also notice that there was a big win for IK Start, with an impressive 3-0 thrashing of leaders Valerenga, so they go back top again. Makes for a very interesting run in to the Championship.

I think that most people outside of Scandanavia have never even heard of IK Start. They come from Aalesund?
