well I'm in my third season. I started off with Aldershot but after six months in charge I was approached by Northampton who were at that time 6th in the third division (aldershot are conference by the way). As I hadn't really started building a good team yet I thought I'd go for it, felt like playing the game properly cos I always snub approaches cos I want to go all the way with one club. I had only bought Prohallsson so I bit the bullet and plumped for Northampton. I tried to buy porhallsson for my team but They didn't have any money.....guh. I got into the play-offs but lost to Cheltenham in the semi's. Second season I took them up as champions...just....by two points. In my third season, with a transfer budget of, wait for it, £75,000 pounds (WOW) I managed to prise Oskarsson away from a random Paraguay side that he had gone to. That is the only money I have outlaied for transfers, all my others are players that have been let go by there clubs so there isn't any compensation to pay or they are players I inherited when I took over. Well in my third season I am totally on fire. I am 27 points clear at the top of the table with ten games to go. I have won the league (team in second only have 8 games to go). But the best thing is I am now into the Semi-finals of the FA cup. After beating Wealdstone and Morecame in the first and second round I was drawn a plum tie away to Liverpool. Didn't hold out much hope but came away with a 3-1 win, woohoo. They were 4th in the Premiership at the time. I then beat bradford in the 4th and Notts Forest in the 5th. I was then drawn away at Blackburn who had taken Liverpools mantle and were 4th in the Premiership. I was a little more confident this time but still thought I could get thumped. but no........i won.................8-2!!!!!!!!!! yes 8-2. I couldn't believe it.
Man utd are still in the cup though but I've just been drawn against Charlton how are now in the First Division so I'm quite confident of getting to the final

I'm quite surprised you conceded so few a goals with that ellegarrd guy in goal. Hes another one of these poor excuses for a goalkeeper

I am only Northampton,of the second division. with no money, so Ellegard was something of a coup!!

I've played 39 games now and he's let in only 27 goals (in the league) so he can't be that bad!!

I'll admit, I think I let real life opinions of players affect me too much on CM :(

Me too- I couldnt bring myself to sell solskjaer. Cuz ive met him once... and he was cool lol- met him on a trip to norway. I have family just outside Kristianlund.

lol i couldn't sell solskjaer either, cos he scored the winner in the champions league final :D

U should try Asamoah, on my game he scored 34 goals first season and 31 goals second season (hes not a bad player in real life too ;)

Jesus u've signed 13 players? Thought u didn't have any money?

I've signed a lot more players then 13. As I said in my first blurb all the players I've signed have been free transfers so haven't cost me a penny. I am over my wage limit but the FA cup run has helped that.

I do play Asamoah quite a bit but he gets injured so much. I've sent him for rehabitation twice already and he still gets injured.....it's so annoying.

hey since you guys were talking about how you can't manage the team you support, how about managing the team rivals and losing purposely?

that could be fun in a way. Signing crap players, making them first team regulars. Gives me purpose to play CM again

My Milan side is kinda unrealistic...:crazyboy: Nesta wont get much playing time, he always screws up. He must have been sent off about 50 times in my period at Milan..(H)
