Starting XI
When you look at it, the past 4-5 FIFA games haven't been great, they've all had the uppers and MANY downers and the uppers don't last that long at all and we all become masters after owning the game for 2 months or so, well, the real gamers' anyway, the players' that are smarter then 3+ children!
My point been, although FIFA 2003 is a massive improvement from FIFA 2002, it's still bug heaven and testing is obviously something EA are not taking seriously enough and maybe EA should give them more time to make it, so that the game released does not feel so much like 'incomplete'.
Anyway, if EA have done mess up's for so long, why are we here thinking:
"Ohhh, maybe this time, it'll be perfect"!
Well, not perfect, but we're thinking of great things and asking many requests of a company that find it hard to get to grips with the true nature of the beautiful game, it's just not in their culture I guess, the American football games they create are FULL of depth, but then again there's no way near as many teams to deal with/create.
If they just added a bit more to the graphics and concentrated on gameplay then fair enough, but it never happens, instead of EA wanting to surprise us with great gameplay every year, they want to surprise us with great graphics, so that their marketing can be better, so that gamers' look at the back of the box, play the demo, see the advert and get a taste of GREAT graphics with a small amount of passion been squeezed into the game, that small amount been the gameplay!
It's sad to say it, but it's true, although EA really did try with FIFA 2003, it just isn't enough to break the barrier and please football gamers', maybe gamers' can play this as a game to enjoy, but a true football fanatic is going to see bugs, rules missing, players' missing, problems with the physics of the game, etc.
We give ENOUGH feedback year after year to EA and MOST of it is gameplay. Did we ask for a ball on fire in 2002 FIFA World Cup? No! Why? Cause it's unrealistic and a load of crap that's why, WHO WANTS THAT!
Oh well, feel free to reply, give your opinions on this, and give your TRUE feelings in this.
