When you look at it, the past 4-5 FIFA games haven't been great, they've all had the uppers and MANY downers and the uppers don't last that long at all and we all become masters after owning the game for 2 months or so, well, the real gamers' anyway, the players' that are smarter then 3+ children!

My point been, although FIFA 2003 is a massive improvement from FIFA 2002, it's still bug heaven and testing is obviously something EA are not taking seriously enough and maybe EA should give them more time to make it, so that the game released does not feel so much like 'incomplete'.

Anyway, if EA have done mess up's for so long, why are we here thinking:

"Ohhh, maybe this time, it'll be perfect"!

Well, not perfect, but we're thinking of great things and asking many requests of a company that find it hard to get to grips with the true nature of the beautiful game, it's just not in their culture I guess, the American football games they create are FULL of depth, but then again there's no way near as many teams to deal with/create.

If they just added a bit more to the graphics and concentrated on gameplay then fair enough, but it never happens, instead of EA wanting to surprise us with great gameplay every year, they want to surprise us with great graphics, so that their marketing can be better, so that gamers' look at the back of the box, play the demo, see the advert and get a taste of GREAT graphics with a small amount of passion been squeezed into the game, that small amount been the gameplay! :(

It's sad to say it, but it's true, although EA really did try with FIFA 2003, it just isn't enough to break the barrier and please football gamers', maybe gamers' can play this as a game to enjoy, but a true football fanatic is going to see bugs, rules missing, players' missing, problems with the physics of the game, etc.

We give ENOUGH feedback year after year to EA and MOST of it is gameplay. Did we ask for a ball on fire in 2002 FIFA World Cup? No! Why? Cause it's unrealistic and a load of crap that's why, WHO WANTS THAT! :kader:

Oh well, feel free to reply, give your opinions on this, and give your TRUE feelings in this.

TTFN (lol),

Nick.

I'm not British but I feel compelled to say:

Cheers mate!!.........

you're right on the money, I made my decision not to buy FIFA 2004 until after it comes out and I rent it in blockbuster and/or borrow it from a friend who did go out and buy it (poor idiot.hehe:p ) and then I'll decide if I want it

It is obvious to me that in October and September EA is gonna come out saying "look we now finally have the perfect game and to show it here are some screenshots" In those screenshots we are likely to see players with individual tattoos, Figo's charm will have the actual inscriptions on it, and Ljunberg's hair color changes as the season goes on. The Polinesyan Island league will be included and all players will hold true to their real life counterpart. now more than 500 leagues (even those too obscure to remember, and 20,000 players). BTW, EA will fail to tell us that althought there are 30 stadiums weather and time of day are completelly preset for all of them.

Then we'll all go crazy, and say this has to be the IT for the FIFA series. Then the demo comes out and its full of bugs and crappy gameplay but the graphics are so histerically realistic that we are just dumbfounded and we say, like we do all the time, that the bugs are there because its only on the development stages....

But alas, the game is released and we find out that its the same as the demo and that it only stays fun for about 2 weeks after we start scoring THE SAME goal over and over and we are beating the computer 10-0 on world class.....

Then we turn to the Ariel's of the world and we say, make this game fun cause EA sure as hell didn't.......the cycle continues!:kader:

As they say in France....

We surrender!

Stuff EA Sports dude, I'm serious. I've had it with them. Ok, they were mothers for releasing FIFA 2003 with all the bugs in it but you know what makes them even worse? Not releasing any patches to fix it. That's the kind of attitude that really pisses me off. It's one thing to rush a game and not test it properly (although freaking idiotic) but to not bother correcting it and basically saying "ha ha, the jokes on you, you'll have to buy FIFA 2004 to see whether or not we correct it". Well, screw them and the horse they rode to town on.

With Winning Eleven imminent over here, ISS3 importable for the PC and being able to play PES2 on the ePSXe emulator, EA SPorts are just about at the end of their chances. If FIFA 2004 isn't simply the best soccer game ever made then it's game over for good. Who the freak will trust them again? They've probably lost half of their market this year, screw people over for another year and they won't make enough money from the game to warrant releasing it.

EA Sports are dead, long live Konami!

I would easily stuff EA but the fact remains that there are no good footie games on PC. BTW I will not buy a PS2 coz it so much a waste of money. I have bought consoles from the late 80s and every 2-3 years they are replaced and at least with PCs u can upgrade.

Van Basten:>

Mate there are three very good football games for the Pc that leave Fifa for dead, the first one is Uefa Champions League 1999/2000 or infact some players prefer Uefa Champions league 1998/1999 and the other one is Uefa Challenge after you have added the gameplay patch, and you should be able to buy these now for a song if they are still available in the stores.

The Uefa Champions League 2001/2002 was gameplay ok, but then ruined by the antics of the stupid goalkeepers. -- :)

I think that they run out of time in Fifa 2003, they have a deadline to put the game out in November, the deadline is not up to programmers but corporate. Even then some stuff is not forgivable, like the headers and some of the bugs like keepers catching the ball with their hands out of the box

1 good thing I would like back, would be that playing online I dont want my opponent to be able to look at my team formation changes or player subs. Because if they see what formation you use, they can change their to one that is easier to play with for that type.. cause in fifa 2003 formations are more important than the players you have
