as you can see by my name im a fifa fan
well i was untill fifa 2004, dont get me wrong its a massive improvement over 2003, but has many flaws. Especially compared to pes3.

now fifa is great, BUT im sorry to say i have bought pes3 now and while playing both, i mean it pes is so FAR ahead of fifa its almost unfair.
now hear me out, Fifa is good, graphics licenses and the new features, and gameplay much improved from 2003 no more 11-0 drubbings. BUT still in pes i have the thrill of scoring a perfect goal
by a half volley, and i mean it when you score a perfect goal it just FEELS JUST RIGHT and gives you a sense of accomplishment. even from a goal line scramble to a tussle in the area feels just right. Also on fifa to be honest player statistics dont differ the players that much, apart from pace. now on pes you know the difference from stamina to skill to accuracy in shooting its that precise. Also the pressure youre applying on the ball when you shoot dosent match the speed of the ball on the move on fifa, if i hit the ball sofly its more than likely to go 90 mph. andscoring outside the box is so easy. AND the keeper is so sloppy and slow, for some reason he can save a pelter but not a soft drive UH UH. The computer ALWAYS goes through the middle and nearly never crosses it in. and can be weak in defence sometimes. And all the goals seem the same to me if you put bottom corner it goes the exact same way if you put it there in as last match.NOW The animations on pes are so good there is literallly hundreds, the way they control the ball, they move, and shoot its different every time but on fifa there seems to be only a couplee for each the way they control the ball every player does it the same way wierd and in turning. AND also the gameplay is very slow and is not fast enough. NOW the career mode ITS A LIE you can only do 5 seasons and i dont know how you can get so much unrealistic than when you offer a team money for a player they replie straight away and nearly always accepted, and then the players yours, how about talking with the player seeing if he wants to come and offering a contract.NOPE CANT DO IT

i rented PES 3 and bought FIFA, and i tend to agree with you really. Altho i enjoy both games, PES 3's finishing means the gameplay is a cut above FIFA, and yes the keepers are appauling. I just do not know how EA can release a game with the goalkeepers so dreadfully made, it is amazing that they thought they could get away with it cos people wud like seeing long range goals going in, but there is no satisfaction when the ball beats the keeper and smashes into the MIDDLE of the net. if it was the corners that would be come sort of concilation, but no. 'Off the ball' is a great addition that PES lacks, and PES master league is simply rubbish, but both games are in fact somewhat limited. it isnt really a career mode, i dont really do any 'management' i just play, if i wanna manage i will play CM4, there is no managerial alternative.

well thats your opinion, but i just cudnt get into it, playing as 'north london' and playing with a bunch of fictional characters, it just doesnt work for me. if i bought the game i would have to put up with it and play it, but i would rather just do a domestic season with 'arsenal', sounds better to me.

I tell you, if they were to mix Fifa and PES 3, we wud have an amazing game. All the licenses, stadiums, graphics, GAMEPLAY, 'off the ball', better keepers, finishing. GOD i wish it cud happen. Maybe Fifa cud actually make a game like that themselves, what the f**k is stopping them??? they have a year!

This problem is easy to solve. I have PES 3 for PS2 and there is an option-file (the one that keeps all changes) with all corrected teamnames, player names and most recent transfers. Also faces are changed, where needed.
There are already people who are busy to change the option file for the demo version of PES 3.
As you will understand, wrong team- and player names is no good argument, not to choose for PES 3, sorry ;)

Like Han said, it is relatively easy to change 'North London' to 'Arsenal'. Apart from that, the Master League is basically the equivalent of trying to take a Division 2 side into the Premiership and then into the Champions' League. The only difference is that you start off with a big-name club that has lost all its players. Once you finish one or two seasons in the ML, you will most probably have a starting lineup full of real-life players and the tournament will start to resemble a European Super League with guest teams from South America.
