I'm about to take the game back!!!!

I can't connect to anyone online. I'm playing w/ps2, on Wed., I played five games, no problem. Since then I can get on to the server but can't connect to another player. I can play Madden online, but not FIFA. Matt, someone, anyone....does anyone have a clue WTF this communications port stuff is? How do I know if I'm behind a firewall?? Please help, only reason I have this game is to play online and I actually think its a pretty good game for playing against someone else. Been at this for three days.

Yes. If you can connect one day and all is fine, then I can't see what has changed in your PS2, on your side of the things, so it must be EA's problem.

I bought the game yesterday myself for the PS2 and have yet to be able to connect to a single game....everything is fine connection wise, I have no firewall, but I can't seem to connect to another player..

So you're not alone with this problem man....it's encouraging to know that you did actually connect at one point, so I'm sure the problem will fix itself soon enough. I'm dying to play online here, that's the only reason I got it too! otherwise, I'd still be playing Winning Eleven..

I remember last year, I had no firewall then, I disabled XP's built in Local Area Connection firewall, and I could not host at all.

Still no improvement I see?.

i couldnt connect either but all i had to dow was download some update for my router, configured it and i can connect just fine

EA are trying to blame the probs on firewalls which is hillarious since even when I turn mine off I can't connect. Haven't been able to connect since Friday night. I've been able to play Nascar Thunder(don't ask) crisp without any problems connecting, so it's just a lack of care by EA, and this better get fixed soon.

BTW: Shinji, I'll be adding you to my EA Messanger.

Anyways, once I'm done finding a host for my new sig, I'm planning on checking if I can get online.

i've rented the ps2 version a couple of times and have only been able to play a couple of games online, i have my ps2 connected to a 2nd nic in my pc with a crossover cable and have ics enabled in windows, i've followed ea's instructions on port forwarding and have also tried connecting my ps2 directly to the cable modem and making a new network connection so the ps2 has a public ip instead of private ip

i'm also part of the european network beta trials and have tested around 6 online games so far this year and haven't had problems with any of them, i'm gonna try renting it again in a week or two and if ea have sorted the servers out then i'll probably buy it

I have no interest in auto racing except for the fact that there are some great online racing games. I've played the Papyrus Nascar series the last few years and in terms on on-line gaming, it rocks

I've had some problems too although I just got the game. Probably ea problem cause I have had no troubles with other online stuff recently.

The United States is not the ONE AND ONLY problem in this world. If you don't love your country, leave it.
