I have just played WE 5 FE on a store for 1 hour, and this game is not as good as I imagined it would be..

Like..... Graphically is fabulous, the sounds are also quite nice, but I think that the game should be more responsive ( I play WE 2002 on my epsxe, and I think that if WE 5 had WE 2002's responsivity it would be a PERFECT game ) because there are many nice things in its gameplay:

- The passing is nice, the one-two is awesome ( when you command a 1-2, the player that is receiving the ball doesn't automatically pass the ball to the other who is running to recieve it in front, you decide if it would be better to keep with the ball or pass it to him )

- The shooting is very sensitive, I found quite hard to shoot to the direction of the goal

- The game is quite difficult ( I was playing in level 5 ) but I won 2 games after losing my first three of the game :p

Well, perhaps WE 6 is more responsive and then it's the perfect game.. heheheh I don't know.. :)

That's right

I know, perhaps that's the reason I thought the controls were a bit unresponsive, maybe if I had played more I would not think this way anymore.. :)

hello GuileSN,
have some questions gonna ask u. regarding the last time i asked you about playing WE on PC, i'm sort of having some problems. you told me to download the emulator, the bios and some sort of "service pack"(if you know what i mean). i have all the filee and i am not sure where to go from here.

Some questions for u:
1) How do i make use of all the files i have downloaded?
2) Which version of WE should I buy and for PS1 or PS2?
3) May i have a rough idea on the systems requirement to play WE on PC? from what i read on the web, they recommended a P4.

Appreciate it for your help.

Hello man !

Well.. if you have downloaded all the files you need to:

1 - Install ePSXe first
2 - Copy the bios file to the Bios folder into the folder you created for ePSXe
3 - Install the plugins to the plugins directory

Run ePSXe and it will guide you through the plugins selections.

The version must be for PSX ONE ! If I was able to play WE 6 on my PC it would be SO GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!! But it won't be possible for perhaps a year or two.. anyway WE 2002, ISS PE 2 are excelent games to play

And you don't need an ultra fast PC to run this game on ePSXe.. I was able to play it on my P2 400 with a voodoo 3000 video card and 128 mb of ram..

uhhhh....
i haven't played WE5. But i did play WE2000 and now play WE6.
I think being a WE player you should know that it takes a whole lot more than one hour to get the feeling of the game and begin to enjoy it. Realistically you should be flamed for making such useless comments.
WE6 is an incredible game.

Hey man, take it easy, I always defended Iss/We series against Fifa, and I mentioned that I should be feeling that way just because I played only for 1 hour.. I had a rushed opinion, although I also mentioned that this game has brilliant gameplay's features.. :)

i got mah WE 2002. i cannot play using the emulator. After i chose "Run from CD-ROM" i can see the JFA logo, then what i get is a blank, white screen. Hope u know what's wrong:( :confused:

I had the same problem running ISS PE2 with EPSXE..
Have you tried creating an image of the cd (with CDrWin or similar) then running it with EPSXEs built in CDr plugin? Fixed the problem for me.

Hmmmm....

i dun quite get what you mean. do u mean that i need to re-burn another cd using my adaptec easy cd creator? what do u mean by CDR-plugin?:confused: :confused: :confused:

johnsen - Nope, you just need to make an image of the CD on your HD and EPSXE will run it from there.

Go to www.goldenhawk.com and D/L CDrwin 3.8G
to make an image(iso) of the disk.
To do this simply click Extract Disk/Tracks/Sectors,
select the drive that the CD is in and give the image a name - leave all other settings as is then press start.

Its been a while since Ive used ePSXe but all I think you need to do next is choose run ISO instead of Cdrom under ePSXes file menu.

i've tried out the cdrwin method. it still doesn't work. all i get is a white screen. maybe it's my configuration problem?:crazyboy:

What are your systems specs? GFX card especially.

Have you tried the VGS emulator?? Gfx are no where near as nice as ePSXe but seems to be compatible with more games&systems.

Talk about 'useless' comments. For one thing, the guy didn't even mention WE6 in any detrimental way. Secondly, who the hell are you to judge the value of any comments? For my part, I would agree that the controls in PES seems very slow to respond when compared with PE2.

Well said, LTJ...the PES snobbery gets on my nerves.

For your info, GuileSN, WE6 is definitely more responsive than PES...it's not perfect but it's a heck of a lot better.

it seems that the cd-rom stops responding after the first two screens - JFA logo and the license screen(adidas.......) i managed to only catch a glimpse of it as the screen just flashes and stayed blank.
