Following on from the success(?) of SGFC on CM, I think it's about time that we had a team (or two!) we could all play with!

A while ago Sportgaming posted a thread about the Sportgaming Fantasy Patch. This is a roster patch for FIFA98, 99, and 2K (he'll do one for 2K1 is asked nicely!). You say what team you want to play for, your favoured position etc, and he puts you in the patch. I currently wear the 12 shirt for Villa!

I mentioned to him the other day, that it might be of more interest if we had fantasy teams (like the South Park Cows in ESP for FIFA99), where we use our screen names to form a team or two, as a FIFA alternative to Dragan's CM game.

Anybody interested?

Uh, don't know if you guys are aware that The Twig Man has a website and a forum (3 floors below) dedicated to this type of fantasy games. I love so much the idea that I'm already playing for Sunderland ;)

I would prefer a team with SG members, of course. What do you think (especially DaTwigMan)?

Anyone who wishes to be included in the SFP should visit www.sportgaming.cjb.net and go to the SFP page, then simply complete the short questionnaire, and you will be added into the next version of the patch. V1 has already been released for fifa 98, 99 and 2000.

This is a similar idea to Da Twig Man's although YOU get to play the matches.

If demand is high enough then I will release a fifa 2001 version.

Thanks for your interest, although I can only accept applications via the questionnaire as this ensures that I receive all the information which I require.

Sportgaming is modifying the application form so that our screen names can be used. initially, select any of the English Premier teams and once there are enough, he can then re-arrange us into a Fantasy Team.

I would really be up for an SG team for FIFA 2001/2. They did the same thing at MaddenMania for Madden 2002, it fully rocked. We could have like League recaps and stuff.

yeah, we could make a whole league from SG members, we could just make different teams with their jerseys and stuff.....it would rock!! Just imagine: beating maddog or breaking zepenguin's feet hehe

This is the exact idea which I sugested yesterday in the sportgaming forum which can be foundhere

I would love to think that we could do this.

Once we are over 35 applications I will begin to assemble seperate teams...the current count is 31.

Then I will post the lineups of the 2 teams. I will put everyone who uses their SG username in the same team if possible.

Is anyone interested in designing the kits for the sides, or suggesting team names.

These a good ideas. I havnet really been reading the forums over the past few days because I have been working a hell of a lot!

I will probably but up some sort of team that only includes Soccer Gaming members or whatever, I am also going to but up an All-Star team at the end of the season.

How do you guys think that it should work? (the SoccerGaming team thingy)

it's ur choice, I will change your current application if u want or u can re-register with a different team/no.
