Ideal Controller for PES5 PC

Right now I have a PS2 dualshock with and adapter and it seems good but I'm considering trying a Logitech Rumblepad as the control doesn't feel as solid for me as it did in PES4/WE8. Anyone tried both and what do you prefer? If not, then just what do you use and suggest?

Thanks! (C)

i use and like the rumblepad, got it yesterday, still not used to it, but its smooth, easy to set, maps the same as a ps2 controller, overall, very good

Yes, its well known that console controllers are of better durablility (the ones made by the console maker anyways). But, let's assume I don't throw my controller one billion times or whatever. How would you compare the control within the game between the two?

I punch the wall or a human if they are conveniently nearby. I just can't afford to beat on my gear like that. Too much $$$

One interesting thing I just found out is that when the analog on my dual-shock is turned off then the control is perfect. Just like how it was with PES4. So much better now but I can't use my analog sticks though I rarely used them anyway. I never do manual passing or that Zidane move much though I guess there are some other tricks you can do with the right analog. So I guess I may try a Logitech pad so that maybe I can have the good response and analog too. The problem is that PC pads always have crappy d-pads though I noticed that the Logitech ones now have a cross + on theirs. Maybe it will do.

The other option is to buy a new adapter cause I've heard that some are better than others. Or maybe try one of the new Xbox 360 controllers and an adapter for it...

Nothing better than a PS2 controller, but there are different kinds of adapters with different qualities. The first one I bought was the play.com one. I thought the response time on that one was a bit too slow, so I bought another in a store called Clas Ohlson here, and it works perfectly. No delay at all.

So PS2 DualShock 2 for me!

I'm using the wired XBox360 controller and it feels great. Works perfectly for me.

Hey wolf merry xmas too you and you loving ones.
I been using the controllers of Play station II with and adapter for more than 3 years, I edit registry of windows so, I have them as if they were Logitech.

well the ting is that I don't know if the controller of xbox 360 will be better.
can you add a some detail about the controller of 360 I do not know if you try before the Play controller and you can tall me some difference between them

dont buy the logitech rumblepad, they are know to break. The analogue stick will not work after a period of time. I had exactly the same

I have 3 usb/ps2 adaptors and the play.com one is the worst of the lot even with the second controller disabled . The response times compared with the other two i have are really poor !!!

Wait a minute, so if I buy a bluetooth card for my PC, then an Xbox 360 wireless controller will work? What sounds like it would be great. Wolf, is this the way you have it set up?

Woops, sorry about that. In that case, I'm wondering about the shoulder triggers. Are they ok? They were obviously designed with driving games in mind so they might be annoying when doing super-cancels with the R1 button too.

I bought the other 2 (Joybox Pro and PS Joy) at Lik-Sang.com or play-asia .com . They all post to the UK and i never had any problems . I sold my play.com one on ebay as it was crap .
