Yes, it is possible...
but to do so, it would take a bit more time (need to implement fifa colors management and correctly decode the strings stored directly in files RX3...)
and I think that people are waiting especially to add kits!!

This version modifies the db only when necessary, but this year it seems that such changes do not affect the continuation of the started careers (a really good new!)

this tool will not work for me man, i made sure nothing is set to read only.

i get the same error as above, i regenerate w/ your tool, fm11, & it still doesnt work.

whats the deal man.

its much easier than texture editor, whos gui is annoying & bassio's tool dont support kits.

just for statistics: do you have your FIFA 11 in program files? Because some people on our czech server has same problem and one guy say they all have their FIFA installed default in Program files...

The program should recognize the path, any path...
there may be a mistake, but I do not think.
Anyway... you could solve by selecting the path manually but you can not,
right?

With the new version, I have implemented new control lines that could help us solve problems that have emerged: wait a few days and we will see!

I confirm that db changes made by the kitmanager (teamkits table) do not affect the continuation career started, and all the tests were positive both with the original database, both with the super expanded version by guimattos.

Please try the new version: as always, post here any suggestions, criticism and bugs
and we will try to solve and improve the program together.

From the readme... remember to always read it before using !!

Since this version, the program allows you to add new kits to the game!
This little miracle was made possible through the generosity of the mitical
Rinaldo which allowed me tu use his great work with the game database.

Some indications:

- The program will automatically extract the database files from the archive (data0.big).
if it does not find them in the appropriate folders.
If this operation succeeds then the files are deleted from the archive,
because otherwise the game would continue to use the old one
(is an anomaly, but it is!!).
If the program do not find the db into the data archive or outside,
it will work the same (without db interactions) but, of course, the game will crash!

- You can manage up to a maximum total of 10 kits per team:
you will see a new alternative kit every time one is added!

- The application works smoothly with every edited database I've tried...

- Kit Manager 1.2 supports 2gk and 3gk textures...

- I added some control messages that will help us to resolve bugs:
you can disable them using the appropriate function that is activable with the right mouse click!

- Try always the right mouse click!
There is the option to restore your copy of the database that is saved at the beginning...
and that is updated (if desired) before any db change.

- The regeneration function has been improved and made faster (as i68Regenerator 1.5)

- Remember to update the database before exiting the program...
otherwise you will not see your new kits in the game!!

Other small improvements will be available in subsequent updates, stay tuned!!

Does it mess up anything ingame if I add new kits into the DB like team settings
and formations? Because I don't want to loose my formations.

I tried with my career and i haven't any problem...
However, the solution is so easy ...
make a backup of your db... and try!!!!

1. I opened the program but get the message that the program could not find my DB in folder.
2. So I exported and activated the DB myself but now the KitManager doesn't start anymore but shows an
error message and closed.
3. Also my game doesn't start anymore after that, I had to use my Backup of data0.bh
and had to create FIFA11 folder in settings again and copy all my backuped files into
that to make my Fifa working again.

If anyone experiencing problems with the database
wants to help me understand...

1. try i68KitManager with original data0.big, original data0.bh,
nothing in game/data/db...
report if it works correctly (there is no reason why it should not...)

2. try application with a copy of the db files correctly stored
in the Game\data\db folder...
report if it works correctly (there is no reason why it should not...)

3. what are the differences with the configuration that causes
the program crash?

maybe you haven't a 'Game\data\db folder'?
Try to create it manually...
maybe program fails to create it when it is not found...

I tried it again and get a different error than before, although I made exactly the same as before.
So I cannot say the error message from before, something with a lot of numbers

At my second try:

The first time I open the program:

Now I exported and activated the DB file but guess what, the KitManager already
crashed my data0.big because there was no xml anymore in the data0.big.
At the first try it was but resulted in a different error.

After the export/activate I get this error:

So, this time I had to use my Backups of data0.big, data0.bh and Documents folder FIFA 11.
To be honest, I will not try it again because I did everything right and I will not
crash my Fifa again.

This is my installation path: "DProgramme\EA Sports\FIFA 11" on Windows XP.

The version before without DB edition works perfectly and without any problems.

and as always, at the beginning, some new problem arises.
But with a little 'patience and with the help of all we come out well!!!

Well... not so well...

Unfortunately I found that there is a bug!

PRG wasn't able to create Game/data/db folder that
it is essential to extract the db files (fifa_ng_db.db and fifa_ng_db-meta.xml).

So if you haven't the DBMaster installed (that creates this folder too)
KitManager fails and cause the game to crash.
To correct, just restore data0.big and data0.bh:
the game will run again.

I'm already working to the fix release.

Currently the solution is to create the path manually, before running the kitmanager.
