I stopped playing W11 because...

I had to stop playing my new W11 game (for XBOX) because it freaking makes my eyes hurt. Cinematics are great but the pitch is very bad (grany graphics during gameplay). Even worst if your TV is HD. You really notice a huge difference.

I am very disappointed at Konami. The game is awesome but please, give me a break, what are they thinking...

Some of you (on other threads) have said you don't notice how bad it is, "you are too busy having fun" etc. OK fine but I imagine I am not the only one whose eyes beg for mercy after 1/2 hour of playing the game.
I'm just really frustrated... I can't stand FIFA, and now this... no soccer gaming for me I guess!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, you guys have been very cool welcoming me into the W11 community and all. I am pretty upset and sorry that I can’t enjoy the game in the same way you guys do. I have tried for a few weeks now and it isn’t getting any better with my eyes.

P.S.: If you have an HD-TV (or not) and notice the same thing let me know. Maybe I am uniquely affected. Maybe those of you with regular TVs don’t get the same effect I get.

I stopped playing W11 for three reasons.

1. Gran Turismo 4
2. Tekken 5
3. Devil May Cry 3

After about a month, I'll get back to W11.

I read (maybe here) if you take the HD option off on your xbox dashboard (no 640i/480 or whatever it is) it should help

I bought a better scart cable for my xbox and it improved the look of PES4 quite a bit.

It's your resolution settings on the xbox. I had the exact same problem. The game looked like piss on my 47" Wide Screen HDTV when all the other XBOX games I have looked awesome. WE8 is not even in 480 so I turned off all the HD settings and everything looks a ton better. Still not the greatest but it doesn't hurt my eyes anymore plus the whole image fits on the screen as well.

well I have the US version of the XBOX so it's under video on the main XBOX menu. I'm not sure if the UK version of the XBOX would be the same. Can't believe a game released in 2005 wouldn't be designed for HDTV!!! I would assume it would be standard on the new XBOX (nextbox) coming out this year.

I will try doing that as soon as I have some time (haven't played anything for a little while now... boo ).

It sounds as if you had the exact same problem. I knew I wasn't alone in this. Well, you have given me new hope... thanks a million friend...

Konami better make this game HD next time, it is going to be troublesome changing my settings back and forth. It will be worth it though.

Yes, without a doubt, SOME of the new pitches this year appear fuzzy n strange once ya start runnin'. It shouldnt actually 'hurt' tho. It took me a little bit to get into it and overlook it.

So, am I not the only one whos surmised this years game is WAAYYY easy? Ive said it before: I conceded 5 goals in like 33 games and thats on 6 stars.

If you cant score, do the double tapped cross from about 10-15 yards from back touch line when your on the wing--it will cross to a rippin header. This year, its rediculous how much youll score with it. Like last years "put in a very tall guy at CBT and watch him always score on corner kick headers'.

ahhhhhhh....nothing can ever stop me from playing WE. Soccer rules!. Soccer games are the best. I used to play some other games b4, but got rid of them when i start playing WE. Nothing beats soccer. Winning eleven forever!!!.

It's not Konami's fault. TV display are different from monitor displays. If you played WE8 on PC (with a good monitor, high res & refresh rate) you prob. woudl not be complaining.

I am playing on an LCD, and notice a huge diff when I play at my friends house on his TV.

PC is crisp, TV display is a bit more blurried. Not sure about the native res of XBOX games, but on PC i play at 1280x1024

believe it or not i found 6 stars to easy, switched to 4 stars and now it's harder.
I cant explain it but it's true. The cpu controlled teasm score way more goals on 4 stars.
On 6 stars they never score it seems.

Maybe the AI defense on your team (players in your team that you are not controlling, your keeper for example) is just better when you play on 6 stars. I wouldn't really know though (I'm a novice).

I hear you... the Xbox can handle 1080i though... it has more to do with the fact that the game is not HD and my settings on the XBOX are set to HD for other games... It is not fun to be changing the settings back and forth every time I want to play Halo2 or Burn-Out3 etc...
