I have seen the future, and its PES 3

The demo for PES 3 is just beautiful, it beats the pants off FIFA 2004 by a long shot. It it way, way, more realistic than any FIFA game. Its a pity I live in the USA and they wont be selling it here. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get a copy?

No seriously, I got Fifa 98, and that was pretty good. Then I got FIFA 99 and I thought it was the best thing ever but I felt the computer tended to cheat too much. But since that year, I look forward to FIFA coming out each Fall, and then I get disappointed when the demo turns out to be not all that. Finally someone has come along to beat EA at their own game, and honestly it serves them right, because you cant keep trying to peddle inferior products just because of a lack of competition. Maybe this will make next years FIFA a lot better instead of worse.

Football game website, that's why we get new for FIFA, TCM, Club Football, PES & a few others. So you're right it is a FIFA website, but it's also a PES website now.

I've tried both and though they both have there good points and bad points let's start with PES3's bad points.

PES3's Sound:

Garbage...the sound of the football being kicked is horrid absolute trash. The crowd sounds like an old Cheap Trick Concert from 1981 in Japan with a bunch of squeeling Japanese girls when you score.

PES3's Graphics:

Not bad kind of last years FIFA 2003 engine.

PES3's Animations:

Fabulous ! there are none...exactly what EA Sports should learn from...I don't want to see animations of some dumb dude acting out when you miss the net dropping to his knee's in disappointment...he did't miss the net..I did... I am his God therefore "I" did not score... not him...don't waste my time with dumb animations. Corner kicks too...why waste my time with the animation of a player placing the ball then switch back to user for the corner kick ?.

PES3's Playability: Too fast ...not realistic ...very arcade like....poor volley'ing and way too acurate user control / AI assited play.

FIFA's Playability: very realistic game speed, very realistic volley'ing great ball physics ..off the ball runs....etc a well rounded game... They need to cut out the animated garbage to "Trim the Fat" and get back to what the users want to do which is play...."not wait to play". If they removed all that garbage it would have been spectacular....there still missing an online chatroom...I could care less which teams they have...basically there should only be 2 teams same attributes and the end users choose there jersey's and play it out Human against Human because when it comes to online gaming I could care less for what they offer for single player crap...seasons and such...I want to play against people not AI.

FIFA vs PES3 I chose FIFA and it was an easy decision for me.

I gave them both a fair shake in the demo.

Ok...lol, I guess this is where you'll lecture me on PC's .

Please enlighten me on your skillful knowledge of PC performance and specifications and what is the common problem amongst PES3 players and FIFA players that seem to differentiate the graphics issues between the 2 games ?....that oughtta do it for me.

If his game runs on a high speed it shouldn't be an issue just that he prefers a game of FIFA. But honestly MrSmee, get a controller and start playing PES3 the way it should be... you'll realise through the fast-paced guise lie a intricately designed football sim... But then again, I am not you..

I'm not here to lecture anyone, as I said everyone's entitled to his opinion...And I'm not here to enlighten anyone about PC specifications, especially since I'm certainly no wiz kid.

I just said that the only frustrating thing about PES is that it doesn't run well unless you have the perfect Gfx card (it runs only in 640*480 on me and I have a geforce 5200)

Still I'd rather play PES 3 in the crummiest of resolutions, than fifa.

I'm on 800mhz TnT2Pro64 and the game is running ok after tweaking and buy double speed from the PES shop. I'm running on full screen and medium detail. Gonna get a PS2 though, seeing that my crummy PC can't run much of anything these days
