u got it off an ftp right and burned it to
CD...I was under the impression that all of EA's PS2 games are on DVDs - like Madden, NBA Live and SSX. It would make sense that Fifa 2001 would be DVD because they're improving the player models off the PC, and they have better textures.

Just like I said, for the dreamcast that uses gdrom they maid a swap utility, so they rip the game in as many CD ROMS as the game needs then swap utility asks for the CDs as you play the game.

Ive heard of a similar utility for the PS2 but I dont know much about. Some people say it works and that poeple in hong kong are already selling warez copies of games for the PS2

THE MAIN PS2 SCREEN COMES UP THEN U PUT IN A SPECIAL DISK IT THEN EJSECTS THAT CD THEN U PUT IN THE GAME CD THEN AGAIN EJECTS THAT AND U THEN CONTINUE WITH ORIGINAL DISK U PUT IN

My next door neighbor who work in a warehouse for a US retailor just got a PS2 and Madden2001, Fifa2001, and SSX and the graphics rock. In Madden it looks like your watching tv the players look so real, and in Fifa2001 the pitch is really bigger and the goalie saves alot better then last year. I hope to play more on it tommorow after just playing for 4 hours today.

PS: Ea Sports will have 6 games released on the release date on PS2.

So... When is the game ACTUALLY being released??? There doesn't seem to be a real date for either PC or PS2.

This really puts me out!

I believe the PS2 date is Nov. 21 and the PC date Oct. 31. these are both US dates

first thing... the PS2 us version is not even out yet.. and wont be shipped until tomorrow.
The Fifa 2001 wont be out until mid-november either. And is not out in EB stores either because thats who I have it ordered with and I received SSX today, so if Fifa was out I would get that too.

Kasey Keller, are you dumb? Space face downloaded the game from an ftp site burned it to the cd had a chipped jap ps2 and played the game! Simple as that. You are making a fool out of yourself with your poor knowledge about warez related material.

space, did you notice if there was a "rest of world" section in the game? if so are any of the S. American teams in it, mainly Boca Juniors, River Plate, Velez, and Universidad Catolica, Universidad de Chile, Colo Colo

So what if Space have the game or have played that damn game.He is just helping us to fill us with the details of the game before the game is released in a few days time!It doesn't matter if he is telling the truth or not cause when the game is released and when we have got our hands on it,then we will know if Space is telling the truth...and if he's not then he will have to answer to God.

PS:I already got Smackdown2 for the PSX,wonder if it is released down there in the US!

Hey Space,does the freaks(the subs)who sit on the substitutes bench move or warm up while u are playing a match.And is it easier to score from outside the penalty box than Fifa 2000??Have anyone of your players gets injured durimg a match and if so will the medics or the team doctor come and check on his injuries???

yes the freaks do move it is easier to score from outside the box and no the doctors dont come on the pitch

and does the ball bounce on the grass, i mean did they got rid of the pin ball passes for good. i would like to hear the ball bouce.

THERE IS NO LIGHTNING BUT WEN IT RAINS U CAN SEE THE SPLASH OF WATER WEN THE PLAYERS RUN WHICH IS COOL, THE PINBALL FOOTBALL HAS TRUELLY GONE AND THE TOWER CAM SEEMS TO BE FURTHER AWAY TO ME AND WEN U RUN WITH THE BALL THE CAM TURNS AS U RUN U CAN ALSO CUSTOMIZE EVERY ANGLE WHICH IS REALLY HELPFULL
