I finally got ISS PE2!!

Well. . . . .

I finally got ISS PE2!!and have been playing since the last 2 hours. So far I think the game is okay.I've seen that the actions are really good and the speed is much slower, much realistic although the graphics suck.People have been true to say that it is tough to master.I mean so far I've played about 10 matches and out of that I've only won two.One was Eng vs Jamaica 1-0 in "Imternational Cup" and another one was in what I've heard so much about "Master League" Real vs West Ham 2-1.People say that ISS PE2 is a largely unscripted game but I don't think so.The passing is definetly scripted and sometimes the game is quite repeating.Whenever I am able to get a break I only find space towards the wings from where I find it very difficult to get a header in.It's quite realistic in some aspects though I still prefer Fifa2002 I don't know maybe after some time I'll start liking it better and I'll get used to it.Also the unlicensed players are irritating I mean who the hell is "Valey" in Valencia. The commentary sucks he only says player names rarely and every master league match I lose "they didn't want to start of their season with a loss".Idiot.Could someone give me some tips on the game as I am finding the game quite tough so far.

Bear in mind it's just a PS One game - you can change the speed in the options too.

Imagine it on a PS2......

Be patient with your build ups, use thru-balls wisely and don't be too rash in defence - back off slightly first.

Good point on the defence. You have to actually play defense like you would in real life at least I thought so anyway. You can't play defense like you do in FIFA.

You have more tackles to choose from. The tackling is quite releastic although the slide tackle is very limited.I like the way you can come in front of a player and charge him down and also the way you can block the player with your arms when he is trying to cross.I'm already starting to like the game quite a bit.:)
How will PES be better on the PS2?What are its features? Will it have licensed players??

emmm

You say you have played ISSPE2, well I don't belive you personally, its probably ISS2000.

If you have really got the game, obviously you WOULD not like the game at first, because you are no good at it.

I felt exactly the same way you feel when I first bought the game, but once I mastered the game it was like a dream.

long passes are not scripted, nothing is scripted in this game, just that you are no good at the game. If you was too watch me play this game, then you will know what I mean by mastering the game.

Give it a couple of weeks, and when you start wining on the hard level then you would hink ou would be dreaming.

Practise

NO really practise, dont play any games, spend half an hour practising shooting and passing, practise cutting across the box and shooting, practise shooting from outside the box. Practise passing the ball around midfield and then changing pace and chipping the ball into space (in the game knock the ball around in front of their defence until you see a gap, then use your speed).

Dont try running at defenses it doesn't work! Unless you use someone like Van Nistelrooy, etc.

In the game dont tackle to early, wait till your pretty close, and then tackle. Dont always rush the tackle like you do in FIFA, if you miss the player in ISS you cant get up quickly enough to make another challenge.

so we hear

PES will have the real players from Europe apparently woohoo, also the skill attribs will be based on CM2 info!

Oh and also try to work out how the opposition play, and the strenghs of your team. i.e. Brazil will try and pass it through you (sit back and expect to have to wait to get the ball back), Norway will try and hit it over you and play with fast strikers.

I take it you know nothing about The future release of PES?

first of all it will have he best graphics of any football game, I don't mean shiny dollys like in fifa, but it will be the closest to what you see on TV.

The gemeplay will have more features, more skill moves, more options for passing, and lots of other things.

PES is combinig with Championship manager to make his game, they will use their player database, so they will have all he correct attributes for each player.

PES will have a fifapro license that should cover most of the european names.

practise

practise pays in ISS unlike FIFA (Im not sure why it is).

One last thing :) When you practise shooting, just tap the button gently, unless youre outside the box it will usually be enough.

European players definitely!

Teams act differently yes. Apparently they are making this even more individual for PES (based on Championship Mgr db), with individual players acting like their real life counterparts (Carlos will be an attacking flair player, Stam will be strong and hang back) :):p

not certain tho

Has been some mention of tactical changes but no confirmation, i.e if the CPU is up 2-0 with 10 mins to go it will go 5-4-1, but not sure about this....
