i can't even position my players

when the ball is in the air, my player would always be stuck behind the opposing computer player. Can't even move my player infront, seems to have some force field blocking me.
When chasing for the same ball, the same thing happens, my player would automatically slow down and the computer would overtake me, switch on that 'force field' again and take the ball...
awwwwww man, FIFA WC2002 and EA blows dicks:mad:

I guess it needs more practise. I have played the demo every day and at the end it was easier for me to head in goal. I have some replays saved. If some one tells me how to record my saved replays I would glad to show them to you. Practise, practise, practise. Some tips for ya.

1) When your player sprinting from the sides press that running indicator button so actually you would have 3-4 players waiting for a cross at the penalty area then look who is open in the penalty area and cross it to him. Making an accurate crossing is the hardest skill to have. Practising will gain you that skill. When you cross just kind of move your player to where the ball is been crossed and at the same time try to press the shooting button and aim it to the net. I know it is hard, it was also hard for me when I was first playing it. You will get used to it.

2) The corners are harder for me because all of my players are been covered, so at the time I take my corner same way I try to move my player to the ball been crossed and press the shoot button at the same time by aiming it to the net.

He is right, practise is the keyword, I am sure if you practise till the year 2006, 8 hours every day you might be able to win a game in a difficult mode. Its all about practise...oooh and timing too :)

You can talk about practise all you like, but the fact is to only thing you can control on a corner is where you put the ball. There is a lot of times in the game when you have no control over your player, for example when the CPU plays that long ball to the forward who is one on one with your defender, you cannot make your defender stand off as the ball is inch perfect time after time and he cannot win the header. Your defender moves into the worst position he could and jumps and your not even touching the controller. On the corners, unless your inch perfect your players will not get into position. In fact the only players who seem to be agile and manueverable are the CPUs. This is the way EA has made each level harder, not by increasing CPU speed, skill etc, but by giving you less control.
I'm not saying you cant get some fun out the game, but its frustrating by the same amount.

HEY MODS, rescind the yellow card. TV replays show that It was only a slap not a punch.

U mean that reallie have to have jus the right amount of power bar then can head the ball or do those first time volley and such??

Wao...... how long did u guyz take to master that art???!!!!

I mean even for my player when i pass the ball and a CPU opponent is behind me, the CPU can take the ball away from me!! But if the roles are reversed, I cant seem to tackle him in that way!!!

Real frustrating manz!!!!!!!

Precisely. as Korea, i cannot even get past Jorge Costa of Portugal by using the skill moves in Professional. even when i'm using the star player. might be my skills are bad, but if i'm using teams like england, brazil, there's no problem at all. control is very limited that you cannot really pass the ball where you want it.

I think that 'force-field' you refer to is in-fact, the opposing player =)

Man, this game is so unrealistic.:D

Well...
What i'm trying to say is that there are times when even the best defenders can fail. so i should be able to get past Jorge Costa once in a while, maybe not often, but a few times.....

:)
