Hydrating Before Soccer Games!

Instead of hydrating myself with 8-10 glasses of water the day before a soccer game, could I drink 8-10 glasses of Kool-Aid? The taste of water gets bad after 2-3 glasses, but I really enjoy drinking Kool-Aid!

Thanks for the help.

You don't have Kool-Aid AKA Pennies a Gallon? Come on man that stuff is all over North America. Remember elementary school?

It has that big Pitcher filled with red punch with Arms and legs that runs around saving kids from thirst as an advertisement.

It is basically a powder made of sugar and food coloring that you put in water to make punch for kids.

It should be fine, it is just important to get liquid in to your body (preferably non-alcoholic)

Why not experiment?

Trying the water before a game, and then try using the same amount of Kool-Aid before another game so you can see the differences for yourself.

Just an idea though.

I usually drink drink 1 to 2 liters of water about 3-4 hours before the game, and then drink Gatorade during the half time and after the game.

I drink gatorade but mostly water i find what really get me energized is to take water put it all over my face and wash my ears. For some reason washing my ears when im tired or sweaty before, during,or after a game really gets you fixed and ready to go.
