how to score from a free kick?

i know how to aim the target, hit the power button, but how can i choose which part i hit from the ball? can someone tell me which button i should press??

In the readme to curve the ball it says to hold the directional buttons and hold shift. if thats what you mean

if you want to spin right to left, put the cursor on the right (optimum position = between the down and rightside); if you want to spin left to right, put the cursor on the left(optimum position = between the down and leftside).

on the freekick meter. hold shift and then press your direction keys.
