yes FA cup, brains off this morning
So you want to mod tourneys so they DON'T play out as per real-life? Unusual, most people want hyper-realistic mods right down to the proper color of each players' jock.

yes I do not like the replay match, I prefer as French cup
I don't blame you, those replay match rules make zero sense. That rule was obviously created by owners who want the extra income that comes from hosting another match, because the players sure don't get paid extra.

Well in the FA Cup in England there are so many lower tiers of football included that it's possible to have a team of part time footballers playing away to a team of millionaires, and they manage to draw, if you play to extra time/penalties the fatigue of amateurs playing the game would almost certainly mean they lose, but instead they get a replay at their own ground as the reward, the FA Cup has so much more history and "specialness" about it than any other cup competition in the world and that's partly why there are replays up until the semi-final stage.

I personally think football has THE WORST overtime rules of any sport. Let the players play until someone scores, what's the problem with that? The absolute worst rule is definitely penalty kicks. It's a complete farce that a World Cup final for example would ever be decided according to which team is most successful kicking the ball 30 feet into the net. It's laughable, turns football and the whole premise of "winner and world's best" into a joke really.

After extra time, no penalties. Teams get 3 more substitutions, and play continues until one team scores. All players on the bench get a chance to play then, meaning it's a TEAM victory. Your 5 best shooters winning the game on penalties has nothing to do with world's best TEAM.
