How to make a player run?

Hey, I am playing fifa on the XBOX.

It is said that to make a player run, You have to press the black button and 'L' button at the same time, but everytime i do that the IGM comes up?

Anyone with the solution to my problem?

it happens something alike in PC...when u push Z (off the ball) + C...

hmmm...try pressing only 'L'...I guess...dunno nothing about Xbox, so...it's just a shot...hehehe

1-2 pass: press Q after making a pass and direct player in direction you point to make a run then press W to send through ball.

Q does nothing in defense, so for xbox try a button like that.

Here's how to do it.

Press the black button and once you see the player make his run, you can hold down the left trigger and use the right stick to indicate where you want him to run.

I know this 100% because I have the xbox version also and yes you're right, if you hold down the left trigger andthe black button straight away, then that will bring up the IGM, although in the manual, EA have the IGM as L+R, which is kind of confusing, but it all works out and makes for a good game of football.

do you press the black button once you're in otb mode and have selected the player? or do you just press the black button in normal mode and the computer selects the player (similar to 2003).
also, what about 1-2's - have you worked out how to do these as i haven't . . .

Yes, I didn't have to use OTB to make the player run, he kind of just started running and waved his hand around, then I holded down the left trigger and used the right stick to move him. I did this in practice mode to make sure it worked and I wasn't just crazy, lol.

As for the 1-2's. I think this is all about timing the press of the buttons.

To do a 1-2, you have to pass the ball, then press the black button 2-3 times, then when you see the player run, pass the ball to him. It requires timing and skill, but it great to do!

Yea i noticed it too, you have to Tap the black button some times then he'll start to run!
