How to get rid of "Unhappy" status?

As man utd, my ronaldo is developing very nicely.
He's playing almost every game, and is "Happy to play at the club"..

The problem is, Real Madrid came in with an offer for him. But since ronaldo is vital to my team, i rejected it.

Ever since, he's been unhappy ...

Is there any way i can get rid of it? (it doesnt seem to affect his performance, except that he wont sign a new contract - but his current one got another 5 years to go so tahts ok)..

Thanks

i have the same problems on gerrard. i signed him from liverpool with 25m (because liverpool end the season in 12th place :D), he play most of the games except those cup or league cup games. he always unhappy with the reason "have personal problems" for 2 seasons :|

giving him a new and improved contract will work mostly.

My advise: Never reject offers from other teams, cause they will get mad, just negotiate the offers to unrealisticly high offers (like 300m). They will withdraw, and the player is still happy, as you didnt reject it.

yep, and if they agree with your offer, take it :D that's what i did with montilivo. signed him on a free in one summer, then real madrid came in and made a 35m bid, which i renegotiated to 80. sold in january. great business, in that i got to buy Adu and Cristiano Ronaldo for replacements :D

Cody has given you the correct advice, never reject bids; simply raise it unrealistically. Remember NOT to leave the persons asking price at this though, as this will also make them unhappy.

Prevention is cheaper than the cure.

TROD.

Ok, thanks~

But for the time being, any chance of removing that unhappy status?
Or do I just let time take care of it?

The big questions are:

1) Has he stopped playing well?
2) Is his unhappiness affecting the rest of the team?
3) Is your job in jeopardy because such an important player is upset?

If the answers to these are all "no", it's really not even worth worrying about. He'll just hopefully play his way out of his unhappiness.

You might also try to re-open transfer talks with Real, if you're still concerned.

One of my young stars has the "Unh" status and it says "is feeling the pressure of public expectations". Recently he has been absent from training once. What should I do to get rid of this problem?

His morale is superb and is personal status shows "willing to remain at the club".

Praise him in public, perhaps. It might make the media ease off him.

You should fine him for missing training though, never put up with that.

Again, the same three questions apply as in my last post. If the answer to all of them is "no," just let him play his way out of it.

play him every single match, don't subsitute him. hopefully he will injured for a while and you tell public that you miss him a lot. it works but its risky to lose a good player just because of that unhappy sign

Forza Suarez! (ps brotha can you spare a dime?)
if his unhappiness isnt effecting his performance, leave it. it happened to me with hinkel at stuttgart, his was still playing awesome, 9's and 10's almost every game, he eventually broke out of his unhappiness. so my advice, just stay patient :)

Yeah just wait, same solution as an unsettled player. What about playing guys and never substituting them? I usually sub the same players every game and have about 6 or 7 guys I can count on for 90 minutes every single time.

shouldnt get stressed over one unhappy player...i have my whole team of 40+ players all unhappy and they get along fine (all on a contract until they are 32 or something)
