Yes, this is a very good question which I have also wondered. I like leaving in a lot of detail on my faces. When I'm finished and save everything looks great. But it all changes when I import the face. The player's face looks like it was burnt or something. It has a washed down look and grey patches on the face. I use Photoshop to make my faces and use We Graphics Studio to import. Any help is appreciated.

Do those grey parts appear in the game?
i try to look at some original faces (not built face) using EditPES4OptionFile.exe, i can see those grey parts. so i think its only because of the EditPES4OptionFile.exe. when u go in the game, they should not appear.

sure ..when you look your bmp final in mode indexe 9.05 ko in zoom..no have grey point or blue? sure?

or you import bmp rgb 24 ko. in graphic studio after you convert in 8 bits..(this is not good method this way)

whan u load orginal texture in 8bit u must save color table... new nafe should be in the same colours... then when u change to 8bit just load orginal texture color table

  • Open an original Konami texture in Microsoft Paint
  • Paste your new texture over the Konami texture, then save as a bmp
  • Import the texture as you normally would with Graphics Studio. The colour table will be the same as the Konami texture so no grey patches will be there
  • Hope this helped!

I don't know about in-game problems, but EditPES4OptionFile up to current version doesn't use the right palette to display faces, which causes this kind of grey areas. It should be fixed in the next release.
